No, His descent is not a truth. It hasn't yet happened.

Jesus did NOT say He was returning 2 times. There's not one quark of Scriptural nor historical proof of this.

You sure you've not confused him with someone else? I 'think' this is his only book (two editions), in which he asserts to be a 'layman' not an accomplished author and that the book serves only as an intro to Preterism. He's very good with the types.

We're not talking about His kingdom in its current state. We're talking about His physical, visible return, which will be seen by all, including those who pierced Him, from the 'torments' area of hades. And obviously, that event & those surrounding it haven't happened yet.

...oh, the redundancy of it all...:)[/QUOTE]

And you're incorrect. VERY OBVIOUSLY, they haven't all happened. I can easily prove "a few", you can't begin to prove "all".

...Except that it didn't happen then. It hasn't happened yet.

...Except no preterist can **PROVE** a single word of their doctrine. All they can provide is opinion & guesswork.

Can you name the beast & the false prophet?
Can you describe the marka the beast?
Can you show us when all life in the Mediterranean Sea died & it became as the blood of a dead man?
    On & on....
Last but not least, can you tell us when Jesus returned, seen by all?

I just sit back & laugh at preterists' futile efforts to support their myth with attempted re-writes of Scripture and/or history. Everything real is against their view.

AE was the Seleucid ruler of Judea. His desecration of the temple & his suppression of Jewish religion led to the first Maccabean revolt. While fighting against it, & the parthians, he died suddenly of disease.

Ouch. Right you are. I confused him with Timothy Martin, who co-authored "Beyond Creation Science" with Jeffrey Vaughn.

"The Seleucid Empire was a Hellenistic successor state of Alexander the Great’s empire, which at its height included central Anatolia and well beyond."

    "...
It is true that the Greek Empire got split up soon after the Death of Alexander the Great:

In Asia the Macedonian commanders who served Alexander fought each other for power. Perdiccas and Meleager were murdered, Antigonus rose to control most of Asia, but his growth of power brought the other Macedonian generals in coalition against him. He was killed in battle and the Macedonian Empire split into four main kingdoms– the one of Seleucus (Asia), Ptolemy (Egypt), Lysimachus (Thrace), and Antipater’s son Cassander (Macedonia, including Greece)...."

"...Key Understanding: The division of Alexander the Great’s empire into four (4) kingdoms. Daniel 7:6, Daniel 8:8 and 8:22, and Daniel 11:4 are the specific verses that prophesy the division of Alexander the Great’s Empire into 4 (four) kingdoms. In the passage of Daniel 7..."

Lol....it is not His descent....but rather His ascension...lol
    Vs13-
And came to the Ancient of days...
He is given the everlasting Kingdom.
Once again you demonstrate a lack of understanding, either that you do not read with understanding or you just prefer to object no matter what.

His ascension waS seen, and to angels present at it said He would return IN LIKE(Not "exact")MANNER. Thus, when He returns, He will simply descend. Difference is, He will be seen by all, will be in great power & glory, mounted on a horse, & be accompanied by the raptured saints. Obviously, that hasn't yet happened.

Alex's empire was the goat in Daniel's vision that attacked & defeated the Medo-Persian ram. Its one big horn was Alex. After he died, his 4 top generals, Lysander, Antigonus, Ptolemy, & Seleucus divided the empire among themselves. While Lysander & Antigonus aren't mentioned any more in Scripture, the vision goes on to show a series of wars between the Seleucids & Ptolemies. Those went on until Rome took over both kingdoms.

But anyway, the AOD the beast will commit will be similar to that done by AE. He will set up a statue in the temple, but it'll be of himself, not of Zeus, as the beast won't recognize any god but himself. And his sidekick the false prophet will make it speak supernaturally. And, of course, the beast will declare himself God. This will take place in the temple the Jews will build in Jerusalem.

No, if He was thus seen, it has nothing to do with His return, which hasn't yet happened.

Wow, all this 'prophesying' from prophecy long fulfilled. 'Roby the prophet'.

Proof, of what? That your interpretation is stupid as a Ford Corvette? I've much more important things to do than go on this merry go round with you. Educate yourself as so many others have. It was actually Phillip Mauro that first helped me escape the fiction that you're so steeped in.

The Ford Corvette broke down years ago. He needs to buy a Buick Pinto. They’re really cheap in gas.

To repeat myself, yes, these events have all happened. I've proven it over and over, but you close your eyes to the evidence. Talk about opinion and guesswork, you don't have a shred of evidence, so you repeat the conjecture of "prophecy pundits".

The Beast was Nero / the Roman Empire. The False Prophet was Apostate Israel.
The Mark of the Beast was not a literal mark, but described those who aligned themselves with the Roman Empire.
All life in the Mediterranean did not literally die. Again, this is hyperbole and symbolic language.
Those in Jerusalem saw Christ's judgment come upon them in AD 70. His literal return is still in our future.

The lengths you futurists will go to in order to defend your views, especially the way you twist prophecies to fit your views, is truly sad. For an otherwise very smart man, you've swallowed the futurist version of the "End Times" hook, line, and sinker.

The Apostle Paul included himself in the words "the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." In not being dead, and being charged. Himself and his audience.

Nehemiah 2:1 when in the month of Nisan? for example. What is the starting day? How do we know the year to as the 20 years to?
