I see that you have nothing to say about Judas being one of the CHOSEN by Jesus Christ?

Same Greek word and voice that is used in Ephesians 1.4!

As I have said you oppose the verses that you don't like.

As for Archangel there is nothing that he can dismantle about what I write because my knowledge of Greek is not faulty. If anyone thinks that it is then they are free to point it out.

Your accusations are as false as your theology

Your hatred and bias toward reformed theology pollutes your every effort to understand scripture. You don’t read scripture looking for truth, you read it looking for arguments against reformed theology.

Such efforts are doomed to fall into error, as evidenced by nearly every thread you start, every sound response you ignore and every hateful comment you post.

    peace to you

I'd like to answer this, if I may, and I believe that it has been pointed out in other threads:

" Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot [the son] of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve." ( John 6:70-71 ).

Judas was specifically chosen by the Lord Jesus in order to fulfill the prophecies in the Psalms ( John 17:11-12, Acts of the Apostles 1:16-20 ).

The Greek διάβολος has the meaning "false accuser"

God foresaw that Judas would betray Jesus Christ and used this

That isn't what the Scriptures say, SBG.
    It says this:

" While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled." ( John 17:12 ).

I encourage you to believe the words as they are on the page, my friend.
He was lost so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.

That is what the Lord Jesus said.

ἀπώλεια, is simply "destruction, ruin, waste". "Perdition" is the word used by some translators, that use "devil" for the Greek διαβολος!

Of course, what Judas did fulfilled Scripture, but God did not "force" Judas to betray Jesus, it was his personal choice.

The KJV is over dramatic in some definitions of the Hebrew and Greek :Cautious

If I may ask, what is it about the words on the page that you find difficult to believe?
    I agree, to an extent.

Absolutely correct. There is no desire for seeking truth. Just an obsession with striking out about the truth of the historic confessional understanding of these blessed truths

You are looking for an out.
I am very aware of the various covenants. The Old Testament corresponds to the Abrahamic Covenant, which is still in effect, while believers today are blessed by both the Abrahamic Covenant and the New Covenant.
The fact is that all of scripture proves you wrong, yet you are so prideful and stubborn that you will fight God's word to cling to your own misguided thoughts. Many people have graciously corrected you. It's time for you to repent.

So in the past some of the ratings icons were removed because they were abused by using them to show displeasure in posts when that wasnt their intent. Kind of like using the smiling icon for a serious post that has no humor in it nor was there any humor intended. Its childish

He has been shown this but clings to imagined false concepts in opposition to the positive Covenant atonement.

I am giving what the Greek can also mean, which is that what is sometimes chosen by the Bible versions, is not always the correct one. Like μονογενὴς meaning "unique", rather than "only-begotten", which was used for theological reasons in the early Church, to combat Arianism, rather than defining the actual word.

Dude, you can always try to prove that I am wrong from Scripture, rather than your usual cheap shots and finding serious Bible discussions "funny"!

I thought you said that this person "Archangel" has shown my Greek to be wrong in the past. PROVE IT! Put up or shut up!

I fully AGREE, this is what the "reformed/calvinists" often do, when they cannot respond from the Bible, and they are shown to be WRONG!
