    O&O Defrag 2000 Freeware Edition 3.5.562
Great defrag program... leaves the Windows one in the dust. The Pro version is even better, and is actually worth the cost.

(30-day free trial on the Pro)

CCleaner Slim (No Yahoo Toolbar, English) 1.36.430
Works great and fast. You can choose what it will erase, including Index.dat files, and what programs it will clean out. It can also clean up your registry of dead entries.

MediaPortal is a nice program, very similar to Windows Media Centre... only free. :)

It does not work with my TV Card unfortunately but otherwise it works nicely.

If I have posted this before please forgive. Found a free program that has a number of free resources to download.

AVG Free Edition is great, updated almost daily, and is free for personal use.

I too have never had a problem with AVG. There is a charge for business use, but as good as it is I am sure it is worth it. I have always used the free home version.

    http://www.launchy.net/

One of the best little programs I have found in recent years! Very cool and very functional.

"Launchy is a free windows utility designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager. Launchy indexes the programs in your start menu and can launch your documents, project files, folders, and bookmarks with just a few keystrokes!"
