I need some prayers on finding some way to buy myself a travel trailer. I have pushed that concept (of owning one for emergency housing) for decades. And the ONE TIME that I need it....actually, that one time is when I was evicted in June of this year. Then the fire. I NEED ONE BADLY!!!!

I'm working on a GoFundMe gig, and hopefully get somewhere with that. I'll get you guys a link when it's up. Things have improved some. My health, over the past few days, has been a whole lot better. Staying in a motel, and that has me on edge. See the attached article. It certainly gets frustrating. I have two weeks left here, it looks like. The only place I can afford to rent has turned my application down twice in the past, and last time because of my last apt. who evicted me. Taking no heed to the State of Utah saying the eviction was illegal.

I hate to say it like this, but I can't wait to get OUT of Utah. Maybe someday I can enthrall you guys with tales about the Mormon culture.

Well, I have tried to find a place, but no luck. And living in a motel really sucks, I tell ya. So I finally did the Go Fund Me. So here's the link and please check it out and share it. I'd certainly appreciate it an awful lot guys.
Looks like I gotta ask for your help, organized by Carl Kem

Update- No longer in the motel, now in my Suburban. Got a few donations via GoFundMe, and they were spent well- licensing my suburban being the most important.

Living in my Suburban really isn't all that bad, just when it gets cold I have to idle it all night long for heat.

This has been a spiritual eye-opener for sure. My sister claims to be some kind of Christian, maybe she is, I don't know. But all of the non-Mormons I know are asking me the same thing- where is the Mormon church? Well, the Bishop helped me with a motel room for a month and a half, which I appreciate. Sadly, he has expectations that are unrealistic. I'm disabled & indigent, only rentals I can afford are subsidized, and right now I'm on a wait list. He doesn't understand that if they are full and no one is moving out or dying, there is nothing I can do. Well, I asked him for help with fuel the other night because it has dipped down below zero a few times at night, and his reply was "NO. We are trying to teach you self-reliance Brother..." Ok. That next morning a Relief Society 2nd Counselor from another stake was at Walmart when I was there, we talked and she gave me $20. That $20 covered the fuel that night. Thankfully.

What I'm getting at is since Pres. Nelson became our prophet, he has made a number of changes that a number of members, myself included, are questioning. It's hard to explain unless you're Mormon. Even then it can be tough. We're not as generous as we once were, to members, non-members, and internationally. Spending less time in church worshipping. There's other stuff, but that's the gist of it.

In the end it offends me, being in need for help or not, to have to fill out a financial statement/"Self-Reliance" form when I join a ward. Who cares where my money comes from or how much it is? If I ask for help, it's realistic to ask. But back months before the fire...? Understand what I'm talking about?

Day 56 of living in my Suburban. I picked up a part time job, but now three weeks into the job and once again my medical issues are hard to manage. Family and myself are debating how much longer until I end up in the hospital. Again. That happened back when I picked up a job at KFC. Worked for a while but my medical issues got out of control and laid me up for 4-5 days in the hospital. Just a matter of time.
