CBN makes announcement

When I was a young believer, in the 80's, Pat Robertson had a huge impact on me, only because he was on tv and I had been raised basically as a tv worshipper, as in, we always had the tv on, and much of my home life was centered around it. So, a guy like him was seen as a Christian leader, and I listened to him. He didn't get weird, in my opinion, until the last 20 years.

 

I was never a fan of TV evangelism, but my beloved sister watched programs on CBN all the time.

So it has its place to reach and comfort the disaffected.

It should not supplant the opportunities to serve and be served within the community of our local church relationship.
