Officially as of today, it is. I saw it in a Brookshire store about an hour ago. But there appeared to be more of the storebrand cola than RC, and more Coke than Pepsi.

Imagine my dismay when visiting Salt Lake City. Pepsi was as rare as a non-Mormon. I could have died of thirst. And it was 104*- 107* each day!

Yep, it had to be Justified to start a topic like this. It's true that our church does have this controversy going around between pepsi and coke. The place is as charasmatic as a Benny Hinn televised event, well maybe not AS much....haha. Well I don't really drink soda but if I did have to choose between the two......i have to go w/ the one that actually tastes good and that my friends is....Pepsi, hands down. But water is quality and soda does actually make you more thirsty, (especially on a hot summer day, as we're experiencing at this time of year) so you have to give it to water......but here's the question....which water is good? And if you answer Aquafina, then i'm praying for your salvation, but if you say Dasani (which is a coca-cola product, interesting) or Poland Spring, then you continue serving the Lord.

My single(old-maid/39) [IMG] sister whom I raised, is the deli-manager for Brookshire's in the Monroe-area & she'll be heading over to Texas for a few days to do 'whatever' they do...& says, yep, they always have RC, as does the Wal-Mart here, & the other grocery, Kaye's.

Jimmy~I used to LOVE the Diet-Rite before they changed the formula! ;)

Hey everybody---the Farmer's Wife baked another pie today(coconut) & she also baked a ham! Let's all go pile in for supper! Yum! :D

This is just too funny. :D We must be dealing with a terrible bunch of heretics here!! Oh my, this is awful. I just can't believe that we are discussing this. Obviously, the only REAL drink is Barq's Root B__r. [IMG] It has all the caffeine of Coke or Pepsi and the obviously better flavor of the only real drink in the world---Root B__r!!! And who said they were DRINKING with their mom. Drinking!! That must be some kind of sin! :( And even encouraging those who do the same. Didn't Paul say something about that in Romans 2 ?!? What is the Church coming to!!

SixKids youv'e got the right type o soda, but the wrong brand. The best Root Beer in the world is I.B.C. Ain't nothing thats tastes better or goes down smoother. But since a six pack of I.B.C can cost as much as a case of something else I'm sitting here drinking an A&W.

    Coke! Coke! Coke!
(Okay, I'm partial because I went to a Coke College and know that I probably paid for my own scholarship with all the diet cokes I've drunk over the years.)

Stay far away from the Alexandrian Coke drinkers and thier hypocracy and Satan Worship! The King James Translators drank Pepsi, my great granddaddy drank it, indeed, anyone who I have ever met that has not follen away into whoredom and Romanism drank Pepsi!

Whoa Whoa Whoa.......What is this I hear about root beer, friends..... you have not tried root beer until you have had Stewarts Root Beer in a bottle....now that's root beer, anything less would be uncivilized. Sold at Jimmy Buffs in Belleville, Turnpike, Kearny, NJ haha....that and those potatoe thingies plus nuggets is good eats. So the moral here is Stewarts Root Beer being THE Root Beer......

    I - I - I don't know. If we are going to talk root
beer, there's nothing like a tall, cold A&W in a
frosty mug! Can I get a witness?

Nothing wrong with A&W, but I.B.C is still better! Only two things wrong with I.B.C. the cost and the fact that it comes in a bottle that looks like a beer bottle. Then again if I'm seen drinking it gives the gossips something to talk about. ;)

As of today, Pepsi is our leader!!! :D

Root beer is a good drink, too. Has anyone been able to recently get an A&W from the A&W stand, straight from the tap? That was a real root beer.

You guys just don't understand, and are obviously missing the point.

    It is Pepsi or nothing.

The Textus Caffeinus Receptus points to a Pepsi only stance. Any other form of cola is in great error.

So, it must be really bad if you prefer Dr. Brown's Black Cherry . . . .

My husband says "amen!" on the Pepsi! WOW! It's been a few years since we've seen an A&W Root Beer drive-in, but the few times we had a little extra $$, we'd load the young-uns & go get us a Papa-burger, Mama-burger & a bunch of little Baby-burgers & of course, all those frosty mugs of root-beer. Then we'd go over to Dairy Queen for a soft vanilla ice-cream cone.

After all that, we'd head for the Drive-In Movie, where we bought popcorn & colas & hoped there'd be no 'skeeters! The children would all fall asleep before the movie was finished and mama would cuddle with daddy. Aaah~such a good life in a more innocent era!

Me! Me! Had a frosty-cold A&W from the--
well, maybe it wasn't that kind of tap. But it
was good! We have one A&W left here. We
can order from the car over the little box, or we
can go inside. Maybe my husband and I should
go have one when he gets back from climbing
    the mountain today.

Back when I used to take the children there, we
used to buy the mugs--the little bitty ones for
the tiny babes, the smalls, mediums, and the
large. We still have several, and now they are
    considered collector's items.

Abiyah~your husband is climbing a mountain?! Is it Mt.Rainier? We used to go camping somewhere east of the mountains(Cascades?), when my daddy was stationed on Couger Mountain in the 50's.
