Is The Church There To Support & Service, Some Or All Of The Community.

Hi everyone;
I thought about this thread for a day or two after I first posted on it.I wondered should I post my testimony here, but then I thought better of it.I did think I should tell you all what happened to me once when I was very young and stupid. A preacher when I was very young helped me out of a jam, I had got myself into.He helped me with money, prayer,food, and a place to stay.Although I didn't believe in Christ at the time even though I knew perfectly who He was.What this precious person did for me didn't have anything to do with judging me for the jam I was in.He just very lovingly offered to pray with me and help me make the right decision at the time.Later on about a year or so I accepted Christ and I have never forgotten the kindness of this man who didn't even know me but, helped me anyway.Please believe me what this man did was a wonderful testimony to me. I had seen God's love in this man and that helped me to make a decision for Christ.I may not have made that decision if it hadn't been for him showing me unconditional Love.
