Don't get blown away Sue! How's that cough?

I was just reading this verse and wanted to share...

2 Peter 1:5-7 "Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge; and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness; and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love."

Good Morning All! Finally, got settled after our trip to Florida. It was great seeing our son and family. They are really thriving in their new environment. I was impressed that the teachers wanted to send all the grandchildren to the special gifted school because they are so advanced. Speaks well of our public schools here in Norman.

Their church was different. We attended the contemporary service. It was wonderful, but a beautiful pipe organ was silent. Next time we will go to the traditional service to hear it played.

Diane, I have trouble asking for help from anyone. I am amazed at what people will ask our pastor to do for them and He does it. He should delegate more.

Karen, our deacons are assigned widows. They are not assigned families, but they still help in any way that they can.

Sue is correct. We should help each other.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Up but not about this morning. Feeling like I've been "rode hard and put away wet".

Pray everyone has a BETTER day than I'm having!!

(BTW, this #60 has been going almost a month! Are folks just not "chit-chatting" at the Coffee House as much??)

    Agree Betty!

Morning Dr. Bob, and sorry to hear you're still down and out after your trip. Hope you feel better very quickly!

    # 60 is slow because we've all been too busy to chat! School has begun again and those of us who are homeschooling have extra duties. Betty's been away, Sheila had a new grandbaby to visit, etc. Dan's been working 80 hours a week out of town too. Just so much going on!

    You can say THAT again!

Between Diane's home schooling and babysitting and my home schooling and newspapers and crossing guard job. Who has time???

There have been a lot of CH posters who have been traveling also (not to mention the one with the bowtie) - Gwyneth has been busy making jam, DonnA has been busy planning a wedding, and Barnabas (the elder) has been too busy to stop in for his usual two cans of DDP!

I received another 'snail mail' letter from Granny Gumbo. She said to tell eveyone hello and to send her love (even to Dr. Bob! ) YIKES!

§ue (still here but not as often)

Well, I'll throw my story in to keep things moving...
Saturday was workday at church, major cleaning and that sort of thing. When I pulled up to park, I ran over the curb a little, and came down with a kerchunk! My family warned me there might be trouble, but I brushed it off. Well, when I had to drop my daughter off at her campus to meet a friend, the tire was flatter than flat! The curb had sliced the sidewall! Now the reason I say this, is that I drove it around the corner to the front of the church, and two of the young men saw me and came out right away and just started in to change my tire. I didn't even need to ask! They were such a blessing that I didn't mind the "I told you so" from my family.
Had to replace the tire, warranty doesn't cover stupidity! So be careful out there!

Yep, Sue's right Dr. Bob. One day last week our Minister of Youth's wife needed me to watch her 2 year old while she went to a Pre-K conference. I had 8 children for about an hour and then she came back, spent the afternoon and we had 9 for about another hour until one mom came and took hers. It was a fun day but gracious what a mess! LOL

One of the girls I keep is really struggling in school. I work with her every afternoon to try and explain what she didn't 'get' in school that day. I wish her mother could let me home school her for a small fee. Ex husband won't hear of it!

Debby! I've done the same thing and they cannot repair a side damaged tire. :(
