May God bless this land because people died for it? Well, if that is going to be your guide, then perhaps you should wish God to bless Nazi Germany. People died for it too you know.

Why don't you seperate the Red White and Blue from God, they are not one and the same you know. Open your eyes to what America represents.

What country do the merchants of the earth grow rich from?

Be careful and don't make the false assumption that the US must be good.

In the case of the United States - both patriotism AND nationalism are virtues.

The American revolution is the only revolution that did not result in those who revolted against the government - turning against each other.

The Revolution is the only one to produce a constitution and bill of rights that set the standard - the ideal pattern for OTHER nations and newly forming governments.

The principles of protestantism's freedom of religion and the rebublic as a model for government with balance of powers between the 3 branches of government - combine to form an entity that obviously was blessed by God. Nothing else accounts for its rapid rise to power.

What kind of culture does the US spread throughout the world? What kind of American movies infect the minds of the world's youth?

 

We have enough discord in this forum talking about religion. It appears that politics worsens the mix.

As this thread has nothing to do with our soteriological views, I am going to close it. This site and this moderator are firm believers in upholding the rights guaranteed in the First Ammendment, but the conversation is beggining to trounce the rules of the board and is doing nothing to glorify our Savior or bring understanding. I hope all parties agree, understand and concur.
