    When I lived in NC, that was a song I could relate to during rush hours. Getting onto interstates 40 and 85 at that time a day often required a personal leap of faith--given all the traffic that was around.

    We want to see Jesus lifted high
    A banner that flies across this land.
    That all men may know he is the truth
    He is the way to heaven

    We want to see
    We want to see
    We want to see Jesus lifted high.

    I don't usually grieve. Especially when such a day
    as special as tomorrow is approaching.
    Tomorrow is my first child's birthday:; Jennifer
    will be thirty. Usually, at this time, my heart is
    filled with joy at the memories of her birth.

    Our first baby! A boy. We were expecting a boy!
    Stilll, when the doctor said, "It's a girl!" I was not
    in the least disappointed. But when they placed
    her there for me to hold, I was astounded! She
    was, and remains, the most beautiful baby I have
    ever seen in my life!

    She has brought me much joy. A precious child,
    always wanting to please me. Even in her two
    years in deliberate sin as a teen, she still
    respected me and looked for my approval.

    But last year, the day after her birthday brought
    such national sorrow, cutting short my free cele-
    bration of her life. It was she who called and
    said, "Mom? Are you watching TV?" She told me
    the news.

    Tonight, on the way from the store, I grieved for
    our nation, for an innocense lost. I was lifting my
    hand toward heaven for comfort, wiping a tear
    from my eye, when I really realized that I had,
    the whole time, been humming--

    I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
    I cannot bear these burdens alone.
    I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
    Jesus will help me, Jesus alone.

    The first verse says:
    I must tell Jesus all of my sorrows,
    I cannot bear these burdens alone;
    In my distress He surely will help me,
    He understands and cares for His own.

    Such a simple song, but it is true.

    He is all I need, He is all I need,
    Jesus is all I need;
    He is all I need, He is all I need,
    My Jesus is all I need.

    Teach me to have a child like heart
    Free me to be undignified.
    Teach me to have a child like heart
    Free me to dance all over my pride.

    Gonna dance like a child
    Sing like a son
    Abandon myself to the Holy One.

    Lift our hands up unto the Lord
    Raise our voice and sing
    Let us dance now unto the Lord
    He is doing mighty things.

    God is now reviving his people
    He is healing our hearts.
    God is now reviving his people.
    He is moving in our lives.
    God is now reviving his people.
    He is healing our hearts.
    God is now reviving his people.
    He is moving in our lives.

    Lift our hearts up unto the Lord.
    Raise our voice and sing.
    Let us rejoice in what he's done.
    There is healing in his wings.

    Your love has captured
    Your grace has set me free
    Your life is the air I breathe
    Be glorified in me.

    You set my feet a dancing.
    You set my heart on fire
    In the presence of a thousand kings,
    You are my one desire.
    I stand before you now with trembling hands lifted high
    Be glorified.

    I miss so many things when it comes to the grace of God,
    And I'm content with playing Game Boy standing in the middle of the Grand Canyon
    I'm eating candy sitting at a gourmet feast.
    I'm wading in a puddle when I could be swimming in the ocean.
    Tell me what's the deal with me?
    I know the time has come for me to wake up and see theglory.
    How could I trivialize it?
    This awesome gift of God's grace?
    Once I have come to realize it, I should be speechless and amazed.

    This is one of our family's *new* favorites:

    I will glory in my redeemer,who's priceless blood has ransomed me.
    Mine was the sin that drove the bitter nails that hung Him on that judgment tree.
    I will glory in my redeemer,who crushed the power of sin and death.
    My only saviour before the Holy judge,the lamb who is my righteousness,the lamb who is my righteousness.

    I will glory in my redeemer,my life he bought,my love he owns.
    I have no longings for another,I'm satisfied in Him alone.
    I will glory in my redeemer
    His faithfulness,my standing place.
    Tho foes are mighty and rush upon me,my feet are firm held by His grace,my feet are firm held by His grace.

    I will glory in my redeemer,who carries me on eagle's wings.
    He crowns my life with loving kindness,His triumph song I'll ever sing.
    I will glory in my redeemer,who waits for me at gates of gold.
    And when he calls me,it will be paradise,His face forever to behold,His face forever to be hold.

    So much Truth and depth. It encourages me to have such gratefulness every time I hear or sing it.Aren't you guys so happy to see I do like some new songs! [IMG] I said I was fine with a newer song as long as it was drenched in scripture. This one is.

    Last night before I went to sleep
    My knees went to the floor
    I turned my eyes up to the sky
    And I prayed, please help me, Lord
    You know I've sowed my wild oates
    And now the fun's all gone
    And then I heard these tender words
    And so I put them in my song

    Infamous angel come on home
    To Someone Who loves you
    And knows you needed to roam
    Grab your things
    A ticket's waiting at the bus depot
    For Imfamous angel
    Destination: home

    I heard Heaven's choir rejoicing
    As the tears broke from my eyes
    And all at once it lifted
    The weight from my past life
    I found a pen and I left a note
    On the dresser drawer
    It said, "infamous angel
    She don't live here anymore"

    Infamous angel come on home
    To Someone Who loves you
    And knows you needed to roam
    Grab your things
    A ticket's waiting at the bus depot
    For: infamous angel
    Destination: Home

    Love that song. If I ever put a Christian band together, I'd like to have Infamous Angels as a name.

    JESUS, LOVER OF MY SOUL Paul Oakley

    It's all about You, Jesus,
    And all this is for You, for Your glory and Your fame,
    It's not about me, as if You should do things my way,
    You alone are God and I surrender to Your ways.

    Jesus, Lover of my soul, all-consuming fire is in Your gaze.
    Jesus, I want You to know, I will follow You all my days.
    For no one else in History is like You,
    And History itself belongs to You.
    Alpha and Omega, You have loved me,
    And I will share eternity with You.

    BE NEAR by Shane Barnard

    You are all, big and small, beautiful,
    And wonderful, to trust in grace through faith, but I’m asking to taste…
    For dark is light to You, and depths are height to You,
    Far is near, but Lord, I need to hear from You!

    Be near, O God, be near, O God, of us,
    Your nearness is to us our good.
    Be near, O God, be near, O God, to us,
    Your nearness is to us our good, our good.

    Your fullness is mine,
    Revelation divine,
    But, O to taste, to know much more than a page,
    To feel Your embrace…
    For dark is light to You, and depths are height to You,
    Far is near, but Lord, I need to hear from You!

    Be near, O God, be near, O God, of us,
    Your nearness is to us our good.
    Be near, O God, be near, O God, to us,
    Your nearness is to us our good, our good.

    What time the mighty moon gathering
    light,
    Love paced the thymy plots of Paradise,
    And all about him roll'd his lustrous eyes;
    When, turning round a cassia, full in view
    Death, walking all alone beneath a yew,
    And talking to himself, first met his sight;
    "You must begone," said Death, "these
    walks are mine."
    Love wept and spread his sheeny vans for
    flight;
    Yet ere he parted said, "This hour is thine;
    Thou art the shadow of life, and as the tree
    Stands in the sun and shadows all beneath,
    So in the light of great eternity
    Life eminent creates the shade of death;
    The shadow passeth when the tree shall fall,
    But I shall reign forever over all."

    AMAZING LOVE Graham Kendrick © 1989 Make Way Music

    My Lord, what love is this that pays so dearly;
    That I, the guilty one may go free?

    And so they watched Him die, despised, rejected;
    But O the blood He shed flowed for me.

    CHORUS
    Amazing love, o what sacrifice!
    The Son of God giv’n for me;
    My debt He paid, and my death He died,
    That I might live, that I might live.

    And now the love of Christ shall flow like rivers;
    Come wash your guilt away, live again!

    In the path of the liion, there stands the Lamb.
    It's Jesus, the Son of God, He is the great I AM
    He paid sin's debt on Calvary, and won the victory, In the path of the lion, there stands the Lamb!
