Yes, it's sad, disappointing, and unchristian. I firmly believe that these sorts of sites that run down others are just the electronic version of the school-yard bully, picking on others as a means of boosting his own self-esteem. Lowering others by any means necessary makes him feel more self-righteous.

I agree, mioque. I don't believe the pics on the first site are authentic - they could be a cut and paste job with the devil's sign. The devil's sign is very similar to the love sign in sign language.

About your friend on the other site. It's appalling to me that such bashing goes on by so-called Christians but anybody with a computer who knows a little HTML can put up a web site and make any slanderous remarks or allegations they choose to make about anybody it seems.

I've even seen some very hateful slanderous remarks here on the BB about Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, Benny Hinn, Jack Chick, and others. So nothing surprises me anymore.

But there is a day coming when everyone will be judged in TRUTH. People forget that.

I've seen that hand gesture many times. It's used by the deaf. It means "I love you".

There's also a similar gesture used by surfers that means "hang loose" it's just the lingo...that surfers use...mostly in Hawaii.

There's also the peace sign that also means two.

When will it stop? When will people stop seeing the "devil" in everything?!

I think that as long as anyone supports fear being the "god" of christianity...websites like this will show up.

Eventually something's got to give. I'm not buying into that whole fear thing being the all important catalyst to faith. I think it's asinine.

 

And the Hook em Horns sign of the Texas Longhorns is a satanic symbol according to one of the sites. Never knew the University of Texas was affiliated with Satanism.

Seriously Chick Publications had a book out years ago accusing Petra and Amy Grant of being affiliated with Satanism. God will judge slanderers.

 

He will also judge those who want to keep their heads in the sand, too.

 

I followed the links, and the second one exhibits the patent stupidity of the author.
Here is a quote:

The idiot that wrote this doesn't even know how to spell the man's last name: it was CALVI!! In case you didn't know this story, Calvi was a banker for the Vatican and was found hanging from a bridge. The sentence seemingly implies that Calvi was a Cardinal. [I read a book about this entitled God's Banker.]

Moreover, this was usurped from the movie The Godfather III when Michael Corleone [Al Pacino] was attempting to take the crime family into the legitimate business world by purchasing the majority interest in a company called Immobilare [I am sure that I misspelled this] from the Vatican.

The folks at Chick Publications don't even know which Version of God's Holy Word they are using, and make statements ranging from wildly irresponsible to horribly egregious. [My personal favorite is the Catholic conspiracy to get the Apocrypha into the Authorised Version!!] They can be judged in truth today - we don't have to wait.

How paranoid can people get?! Makes me think they experimented one too many times with some meth or some such thing. These folks need some major therapy and a nice white jacket with custom taylored sleeves that meet in the back!
