I'm looking for some opinions about this Bible. I like what I've seen about it, but you can't beat first hand opinions on an important subject.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to try and help me make a good choice.

The KJ Study Bible has replaced my old Scofield. It is an excellant study Bible.

Given the best of all study Bible Worlds what I would like to see is a parallel study Bible with the following included:
    KJ Study Bible
    Nkj Study Bible
    ESV Reformation Study Bible
    NASB study Bible
    NIV Study Bible
    Thompson Chain Ref study Bible
    New Scofield study Bible
    Criswell Study Bible

Now that would be some parallel study Bible. But if I could only have one it would be the KJ Study Bible published by Thomas Nelson Publishing Company.

Lelson produced a NKJV study Bible that Earl Radmacher edited I'm going to guess about 8 or so years ago. Excellent study Bible.

Edwards whines about other threads but count the number of threads he started with the title "Bible Inerrancy Poll." I think he's up to 5 now. And whatever you do, don't you dare post on his threads or he will send you a very nasty PM!

In my view, this Bible has some improvements, for example in the N.T. it changes Elias to Elijah, Osee to Hosea, etc. However it's somewhat inconsistent with the "LORD" "Lord" thing. It gets it all backwards in Genesis 18, and in Psalm 110:5, where it should read "Lord" (Adonai)but reads "LORD" (YHWH)at least the footnotes corrects this.

I really like my NKJ Study Bible alot .Lots of great info .I bought a hardback just for the notes .If I were to get one for everyday use . I would get a large print genuine leather .I have many Study Bibles I seem to go to my NKJ Study Bible alot for info.I wish they had a Study Bible with the notes of the NKJ Study Bible in the ESV version !

Sorry guys, this is entirely my fault. I titled this topic as the " "KJV Study Bible", and I should have titled it "The King James Study Bible".
Ed was right in his response, and the previous threads he quoted. After I looked at it, I went DOOOH!(my best Homer Sismpson impression).
There was a topic recently called " type, type, type, erase, erase, erase", guess I should have read that better before I tried to post.
    Sorry for the confusion.

You didn't confuse anybody who actually read the title. [IMG]

Oops, my bad. I forget this one unique
BB Search Engine will give you a match
with 'nKJV' if you search of 'KJV'.
I'm used to Google which won't do that.

BTW, Google is a better search engine for
the BB than the BB's search engine.
(if it says the page doesn't esit /in BB
space/ check for it in the archives which
are in Google. Space. Google puts a lot
of stuff in thier space cause they can
search their own data base faster than
    other data base structures.

Does anybody beside me remember the old
20 years ago 45-65 minute searches

    No apology necessary Tony.

I wrote the KJV Study Bible instead of the King James Study Bible. It caused many people to think I was talking about the NKJV Study Bible.

Must be a Freudian slip, because I've used the NKJV for almost twenty years.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

    Rob
