    Phillip,

Please do not take offense. I do agree with you. But this issue has already been taken care of and there is no reason to keep it going. Shilo has already said that he wouldn't use that word again and that is good enough for me. [IMG]

    I hope you understand.

No I have not, but I have read a lot of his material.
No, but I have read a lot of his material.

[Moderator Note: There is no need for that. Sorry.]

I see the same thing right here. They are called "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints"-----VERY sincere and concerned individuals.

I'll debate the man right now and I promise not to use the "n" word.

Yes call him up and tell him..his phone number is in the book..If you have a problem with him.. call.

But Do you think he really cares what You say about him? NO! all he cares about is what the Lord says about him.

I usually dont stick up for preachers especailly preachers like Ruckman because God sticks up for them well enough. but after reading this tread I was disgusted!

And some of you are preachers! ( or at least claim to be) How very..very..VERY SAD!!!
</font>[/QUOTE]I think his writings show his heart and I don't think Paul would have a problem judging his heart based on his mouth (which comes from the heart) or the pen (even worse). How can you quantify how many people he has led to Christ, I doubt it was through his writings. That is all the board has to base him on and if he is going to publish those writings on the world-wide-net, then they have a forum on which to judge his fruit. ;) Funny, there isn't a controvery over what Billy Graham has said in writings. Unless, of course, it is with a non-Christian.

[Moderator Note: If we can't discuss this issue without attacking each other, insulting each other, and being unChristlike, I will close it.]

Only God knows a person's heart. Only God can be jealous without sinning. My point: Jesus can say anything He pleases--He created us, not Dr. Ruckman.

I've always used the KJV and believed it to be the Word of God before I ever heard of Peter Ruckman. Just because people believe the KJV doesn't mean they are a Ruckmanite. Plus, has anyone looked the "N" word up in the Noah's Webster 1828 dictionary ? Just curious. [IMG]

    Hi,

I'm with Shilo on this one. I've never met Bro. Peter, but I've read every post on this thread, and every e-mail link, too. That mark of the beast quote was about antichrist having black lips and kissing people. I don't agree with this interpretation of scripture, but why is it racist? Are you lot saying it is impossible for antichrist to be black? If he comes along and it turns out he is black, will you call everyone "racist" who points out who he is? Is it "racist" of me to point out that Hitler was white? Does it prove I hate white people when I say that Stalin was white?

I don't think anyone here is equating KJV-onlyism with Ruckmanism. I also think everyone here thinks the KJV is the word of God.

I just did, it was not there. If it *is* in your copy, I would remind you that *today* it is an extremely offsensive word and should not be used.

I have seen Peter Ruckman preach many times.I'd say most of the KJV boys are against him for some reason. But if you check them out I bet most of them have some of his books. One thing is for sure,he doesn't pull his punches.I also think he is very sincere, right or wrong. He is still one of the only preachers that gets down on one knee every time he prays.I have seen him weep when he preached.I have seen him beg people to get saved at the alter call. Also out of the pulpit he is not as loud & brash as he is in it.I think he has done to much for God for us to bash him.And as far as certain words go,how come no one thinks it is wrong to have taken the word GAY & trashed it.Now that was a beautiful word when I was a kid.

Having read this thread, I have come to the conclusion that it is best not to ask people what they think of Peter Ruckman, nor to think of him at all.

    What an ugly, ugly thread!

NewMan you and I are going to get along really well. I was beginning to think that I was the only real Bible-believer in this whole place. Peter Ruckman is the greatest Bible teacher that this earth has seen in many many years, we could all learn from him if we stopped letting CNN tell us how to think.

Please ignore what KalEl said about PSR. Ask KalEl what he thinks of James White and I bet he falls down and worships at the sound of White's name.

sorry about that swordsman. honestly i didn't read all of this thread before i made my input. my favorite ruckman book? good question. there's so many of them. i would have to say that Body, Soul and Spirit is really really good. Seven Mysteries, How to Teach Dispensational Truth and all of his commentaries are great. I have learned so much from his teachings.

are you talking about the "Theological Seminar of the Air"?

I got a chance back in December to visit his church, browse through the bookstore and sit in on one night of classes at PBI. if any of you are basing your opinions of PSR on just what you have heard or read about him you are really missing out. in person he is totally different. you can really see his burden for the lost. i have seen him cry during sermons and really pour his heart out during messages.

As long as you equate "believing the Bible" with "licking Dr. Petey's boots," you're probably right.
