I'm new to BB and I have noticed a tremendous amount of subjective "slander" in this thread,(what a shame before Almighty God!).

May I suggest everyone involved to give their best translation from their favorite "rendering" of God's word Philipians 3:15-21 and Romans 16:16-27?

    (Hint)
These passages deal directly with being "examples" and the specific doctrine of "Brotherly Love".

May I say this without even a slight misdirection of accusation? Many "marks" are well achieved in the ranks and files of such "banter".

Maybe I should follow the Command; " and avoid them " and stay a safe distance from this section?

Biblical separation is often despised by the "carnal", but in this case it is well attributed to desiring to fulfill another Command, "Be ye holy, for I am Holy"

What a shame! such obvious intelligence being wasted in such an immature manner!

    Remember:
Proverbs 9:8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Proverbs 13:1 A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.
Proverbs 13:8 The ransom of a man’s life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.
Proverbs 24:25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
Proverbs 27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.

Obey that which is from the heart, that which is first "pure", then peacable.

Also I can't help but reference Hebrews 12:14,15, each should too!

    Consider! Please?

perhaps it's ironic, but isn't this an example of something totally subjective, coming fr a newcomer? i suggest that the Metropolitan Forum Police r indeed doing their job, editing out bad language, telling us to calm down, locking down threads, n reminding us of the right attitude (2 of which threads permanent take pole position up there).

if there's something u'd like to say to on topic w this forum, i'm sure no one wld object to it. but, u know the story, don't forget to shave before smelling cheese all over the town. ;)

    FSIH,

Was you're reply somehow a rendering of the suggested verses? I don't quite get the "smelling" bit. I only observed a few razor's edge remark's towards "KJVO's" and viceversa and didn't see where ANY exhortation was ensued in the process. (I use the new 4 edge razor by "Gillette", works rather well to my satisfaction, simply because my wife LIKES it when I shave!) Hubba-hubba! [IMG]

I don't mean to detract, but exhortation is another Command of Our Lord and Saviour, is it not? [IMG]
