I was baptised in a Baptist Church in "the Tank" :D Then some 15 years later was emersed again at the Church I am now a member of.
On the other hand my Mom was Baptised in a River in a very small town church in Southern Missouri. I thought that was really cool! Her GrandFather was a Southern Baptist Preacher way out there in the woods! LOL
My Dad was raised Catholic and was sprinkled as an infant, I wish he would be emersed but no hope yet. My oldest Daughter was sprinkled in a Lutheran Church and then emersed some 6 years later at our church home.
    Love in Christ, Angie

My Church meets in a elementary school. It's the only elementary I know of in Winnipeg with a swimming pool. I was the first person Baptised in it a little under a year ago.

Ok there you have my story in a nutshell. Until reading several of the recent threads on Baptisim I hadn't given much thought to outdoor/public Baptisim. I really think I would have liked to have been Baptized in a river, lake, pond, stream, creek, whatever. That seems to me to be more of a pubic showing of my obidience to the Lord then being baptized at the church. Of course at the time I was Baptized I doubt I would have gone along with an outdoor baptisism as I had only accepted my salvation two weeks before and was a very immature Christian.

I don't really think it matters if you are Baptized in the chruch or in a river etc. At long as you are doing it for the right reasons.

And I might add, just down the road from me. :D If I had a good arm and a good rock I could throw one in the North Fork of the Holston.

I was 16 when I was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls Texas. Bro Max Copeland was my first pastor. He also helped in my wedding ceramony. There was nothing different as baptisims go, but it was definatly special.
