Oh, boy. No way. Actually, the moderators like a peaceful life. We don't like having to step in and separate the combatants.

I, and the other moderators, have no stake in the number of "hits." It is the Webmaster's site and he has given us no such direction. Far from it.

What should the limits of editing be? If someone has posted viciously and some folks have responded, then the original poster can edit his post to eliminate the offending statement and it makes the rest of the thread nonsense.

If you make a stupid post (as I have done) you have every opportunity to make a new post and explain yourself.

    Scanwmatos, but of course!
Once we reach 500 flames Webmaster sends us a certificate for a free steak dinner, a diet Dr. Pepper, and a photo of Jack. [IMG]
At 1,000 flames you get a trip to NY to meet him and his cohort personally, along with a free McDonald's meal.
Many will try. Few will win.
    Oooooooooommmmmmmmm.....

If the moderators want flaming posts, all they need do is send me exactly $59.63, no more, no less, right now, get up off their pew potatoeyness, and reach for a checkbook, hurry up now, God is watching, don't let Him see you stall around...

...and I'll send flaming posts on The Passion movie monstrosity from now till doomsday.

Send that seed money (there's a web usability book I need for my consulting work) and i'll flame like only the pure, original VASPERS guy can flame.

What a silly flame about flame boarding.

Lighten up, and I don't mean light a flame.

Moderators may like aggressive expression of opinion, not bland "me too" posts, but that's because they keep falling asleep at the switch and they drink decaf espressos, according to doctor's orders.

Now see, Vasper's! That's my problem! I don't DO decaf!! Plus, I grew up with a mother who screamed from the minute she got up til well after we were in bed and so MY family does NOT fuss and fight! I cannot handle any fussing! So Skan is WAY off or Webmaster better stop sending me those great big $0.00 pay checks each month! ;)

BTW... Bro. Ricky is not banned. He's just chillin'. He's taken a break for short periods before and came back refreshed!

Well, I think this is the most "stupid" and irrelevant response I have ever heard about anything anywhere on this board. I think it ought to be edited out.

I for one, appologize to you if I have insulted you. I never mean to, but words on a type written screen are very easily posted with "what sounds like" more venom than a person would do face-to-face. If I have hurt you in any way and I have anything to do with this decision, I am sorry. I respect your beliefs, but wish you would stay because I, for one, do not feel it is as much "fun" nor do I learn as much arguing with the choir.

I will argue my best, but I have been known to change. Ask Helen about my Genesis beliefs, if you don't believe me.

We are human and we are not going to agree, but I think most people here are doing it in the love of Christ and although we may not agree, even on doctrine, we do learn from others.

I do not know if something has gone on with other members, but as far as I am concerned, you certainly don't hurt my tough skin. I will let others speak for themselves. I am simply referring to your and my discussions.

Again, if I am at fault, I am sorry and I really wish you would not go!

Precepts, I have no animosity toward you. You've done nothing that many another Onlyist hasn't done. I realized long ago that there's a certain behavior pattern particular to those who claim to be Onlyists that they've acquired from reading too much Onlyist literature. That doesn't make the Onlyist a bad person, but it DOES tell us this person has been misled.

    Precepts,
Dude, you are a cracked nut!!! But I think that the fruit inside is still good, just hit the ground too hard when you fell. I have enjoyed reading your posts and seeing your train of thought, but it does not mean that I agree with it. I believe that we both sharpen each other in our views and in being able to debate them. Do what you must, but don't do it too long, I enjoy being frustrated and sharpened by your thought process.

I replied to this thread to bring it back to current status for those who thought I said I wouldn't ever post again in the BV/T forum.

I only took a break for "awhile" just like I said i would. I will excercise my right to do so as long as there are those who encourage me to "not curse the darkness, but let my light so shine".

I do want to thank everyone that gave their sentiments in regards to what they may have viewed as a departure on my behalf, but I am NOT amazed that even in an apology that some would devise a controversy over what one posted and try to start a debate that detracted from the intent of the initial post: TYPICAL. (You cast your pearls before swine, they "rend and trample", you lay a piece of tenderloin on the table and the wolves soon get a whiff and snarl and howl, snip and growl at each other while in a group effort to get just one little tidbit of satisfaction.

    God Bless. Consider.

As for the rest of you that won't accept my apology [IMG]

Perhaps if your recent posts reflected sincerity on your sentiments that start this thread... this problem wouldn't exist.
Seen more than a little bit of this our of you too.

Precepts, you need to repent and then be apologizing to people here for calling your fellow Christians pigs and using the holy bible to falsely justify it.

Typical. I NEVER called any one "pigs"

YOU repent for your presumptuous sins. I painted the scenario and you jump in with railing accustaion, no wonder BB has the reputation it does, people with your character give it that bad reputation. Always writing into other's posts something they NEVER said; railing for railing, accusations abounding.

BTW, that's "Holy Bible" something you obviously know NOTHING about.
