Sue was my secret pal last year, and I was sooooooooooo delighted with my gifts the doilies are in constant use , the Christmas decoration she sent me is safely packed away until December when it will take pride of place again this year God willing. Donna and I `went solo` the year before, as neither of us got a gift from our partners, we got together and did it between us, the lovely hand made gift(white silk trinket box) is on my bedside table sitting on one of Sues doilies [IMG]

Oh yeah.. and my favorite scents are fruit-types.. peach, kiwi, honeydew, etc. [IMG]

I already bought the gift for my secret pal... I'm not sure I'll be able to wait too much longer to send it... and I'll be impatient waiting for her to send it.. I might tell her to open it right away! [IMG]

I get all excited.. I usually wait until right before Christmas to buy my fiance's gifts, because I'll try and give it to him, and make him open it, like right after the 4th of July [IMG]

    What about christmas ornaments?
I love ornaments. What are your favorite Christmas decorating themes? What colors and styles, ladies?

Hm.. I guess I haven't been specific enough to inspire my secret pal. [IMG]

Let's see.. I love chocolate flavored and scented anything.. as for Christmas ornaments, I like older-themed ornaments, and I prefer burgendy and hunter green over bright red and green.

I love candles and roses, and.. and I don't know how much more specific I can get!

I'm having a Christmas eve wedding, so I'll be really busy.. maybe an organizer would be a great gift! [IMG]

Pretty much anything would be great.. but I can't promise I'll be able to wait till Christmas to open it! :D

And Secret Pal, if you need to know anything else, ask something specific! I have a few posts through out this thread, so if you scan through, you might get a few more ideas. [IMG]

Edit: Oh yeah.. and I'm 20, in case my secret pal doesn't know me that well. [IMG]

    Hi Audrey,

I wonder if I am not specific enough either. That's why I ask everyone what they like all the time. Besides I have this vivid imagination when people start to tell what they like in detail. I can just picture their decorating themes. Besides I hate to get something for someone that they may not really like or can't use.

    Congratulations on your wedding! [IMG]

I did notice all the ladies share their likes, now what about you? What color and style do you like?

Me, I love christmas ornaments, I like those ones that look like glass but aren't, anything fun looking, anything with that romantic look. Oh, anything my secret pal likes is perfect.

    Hi Donna,

What is an ornament that looks like glass but isn't? I'm not sure what that is. Do you like glass or no? What is romantic in an ornament? When you wrote that I pictured pearls, lace and pink. :D

As for me I have three themes going

I like too many different things so.... in the dining room I put up a small tree. I have iced fruit, pears, apples, pomegranite, strawberries, etc. glittered leaves. Cardinals and chickadees (I love chickadees) Also any type Northwest animals. Bears, deer, raccoon, lynx, moose, bluejays. I like the realistic ones, nothing cutsey. My favorite cat is the Mountain Lion(Puma)

I like those snowflakes that sparkle (they are inexpensive at the craft stores), crocheted or tatted ornaments. Love pine boughs, red berries, and holly. I like glass ornaments, including icicles. I have big cats, tigers, lions, and "stuff" :D in gold, Peacock colors, purple, turquoise, red, cobalt and royal blue. Mentally I'm digging through my Christmas boxes right now. I like almost anything [IMG]

My favorite Christmas item I have is a little scroll I put by the nativity DH got me that says, "Wise men still seek Him", I love that.

Sorry Donna, my imagination goes a little wild when I hear Christmas ornaments. [IMG]

Did you mean styles in general or in ornament?

Audrey, You don't know how tempting it is... KITTIES! I would love to take a kitten but I have an old, fat, blind siamese mix, he is all I can handle for now in pets.
I just lost my betta last month. :( It was like having a little cocker spaniel, he always greeted me wagging, when I approached him and would jump out of the water to take food from me. [IMG]

Elnora, I thought of that last night, that I may not have been descriptive enough. They are some kind of clear plastic, very elegant looking ornaments. But not very expensive, as a matter of fact, most of mine came from wal mart.
    'pearls, lace, pink'
    sounds about right to me.
