Have you heard about what God is doing in Utah these days. With the Olympics in full swing, an evangelistick effort called medals for glory is going great guns. So far they have experienced great blessings from the Lord. Of course, I'm excited because my daughter, another young lady from our church and some very good friends are involved in the ministry there. Here is a link to their daily reports: www.medalsforglory.com

Time for me to turn into a shouting Baptist!

    Your servant in Christ,

We should keep in prayer for God to hold back the Mormons as well. Have you noticed how the media has worked the Mormon Temple into the background of almost all of the media shots?

Just gotta holler a little. I just got off the phone from talking to my daughter. She spent an hour today sharing the gospel with a LDS elder. She said that he appeared to be older than dirt (of course she's only 19 so I look older than dirt) with a vacant look in his eyes. She has noticed the empty look in most of the mormons she has spoken with. As they shared the gospel, she said that the look in his eyes changed and he began asking some real searching questions. She and her partner spent the day in a mall sharing the gospel with people. She almost did not need a phone to tell me about her day. Keep praying! God is building His kingdom.

    Shoutin' out loud!

As A former mormon it is good to see the teams coming out and proclaiming the truth of Christ. I hated to see the Olyimpics come to Utah. The mormons have exusted every avenue in a mass outreach not only to gain converts but also to present the cult as a main line Christian Church. I would encourage read the articals concerning mormonisim at

We had nine from our church go out to work with Global Outreach . . . we were stationed at a canteen inside Olympic Square in downtown Salt Lake city. We gave a way water, and also gave away tracts and pins. We witnessed for Christ literally every opportunity we had. As we walked up and down the streets in the square, we took opportunities that these pins gave us to share the gospel. Several of us were in Temple Square talking with the Mormons there in good conversation. Several of our guys were interrupted by the security, though they Mormons they were talking to were glad to be talkig to our people.

We were also at the command center, which allowed us go to to Main Street and the malls to witness, and also at the main transport hub across the street. Literally every opportunity we had, we tried to share the gospel. Even in our travels to and from where we were going--on the bus, on the Trax, in the restaurants, we shared.

    Lots of planting seeds.

On top of that, even the Christians there are hungry--very hungry--for fellowship and Biblical teaching. At the church we stayed at, we were swarmed by the members each time we were with them--and they would hang for hours after meeting with us, hungry for the attention, hungry for the conversation, to have other Christians around. It is a hard work.

Two of our pastors were with the same group Saggywoman. They were there the first half of the Olympics. They said that it was a hard but wonderful time witnessing for the Lord. I also think the pin idea was very cool. You and this group did a great job for the kingdom.

Indeed, your pastors were correct. It was a very tiring and hard work--I know we started tired, and each day, about all we had energy for once we got "done" (yet, we were never done, because our role was 24/7 witnessing as we had the opportunity) was to make it to bed ont he air mattresses. Very tiring, but well worth it.
