Sounds more like a Navy Veterans Forum to me (and brown shoe sailors at that)! Any room for us dirty, stinky, old ground pounders? Bruce

Bruce, I too am AUS. I was one of only 400 fixed wing pilots in the Army. The rest were all rotoheads - uh, I mean - rotowing pilots. :D

And before going into aviation, I too was a grunt. :D :D

    USN2Pulpit,

Sounds familiar.... also a FE at Jacksonville, Guam, Barbers Pt, and Moffett Field....

As far the engine location.... they work better on top.. for aircraft that fly just above the waves.....

I would like to see a Vet Forum also. USAF 1974-1985, 81152-A, (K-9, patrol, bomb, narc cert). Served at Guam, Grissom, Lindsey A.S. FRG, Lackland AFB, S.A. Tx. I left Sam's AF to go into the ministry and would not have left for any other reason. I had the best job in the A.F. and I loved it.
    Thanks -----Bart

Sound good to me. Im sure there would be less friendly fire incidents than on many of the other forums.

Tough to march on a submarine, but if we did, we'd do it silently.

Tough to march at 38 thousand but we still do it right when we're on ground. Try marching and controlling six legs, most you guys had trouble with two.
    Thanks ------Bart

I am new to the Baptist Board, in fact this is my first day! I was going through the many topics and forums when this one caught my eye. I have a veterans website that deals with many of the things that are being discussed here. I started the site as a way to honor God by remembering and honoring our veterans and servicemen and women. It is at wwww.focusonveterans.org I would appreciate any comments as I try to make this site as usable as I can.
I look forward to getting into some of the discussions here.

Well, I'm not a veteran, but I was born at an Air Force base. Ha!

My dad has such great stories of his tenure. I love to listen to them even though I've heard them a million times.

    Go Air Force!!

    Peace-
    Scarlett O.
