    Good Afternoon Everybody,

Sure is good to be back in the land of the living. Thanks for the Chicken Soup & the Cough Syrup Ann. I think it did the trick.

Just got back from a funeral for a buddy of mine I went to college with. He was 53 and collapsed in the shower, and was probably dead before he hit the floor. Sure makes you think.

Reminds me of the Pastor who announced to his congregation that "everybody is this Church is going to die." One Man in the back pew started laughing hysterically. The Pastor demanded, "what are you laughing for?" "I'm not a member of this Church!" the man replied. Sure wish it worked that way.

I brought in Bacon Appetizer Crescents, and Hot Parmesan Artichoke Dip for those of you watching football, and Country Salisbury Steak with Cheesy Smashed Potatoes, Pasta-Stuffed Onions, and Black-Bottom Banana Cream Pie for those who aren't watching football.

Sorry folks, I have to take a break from Turkey for at least 24 hours.

To my attentive Nurse Ann - If you yell "Robby!" I'll at least look in your direction, but your son will be the one who comes running. I will mention you in my will though, It'll say "Hey Ann!, How's the horse, and the sailboat?"

LOL - Well, you're back on your feet (and keyboard), huh Rob? ;) It's good to see you feeling better. This stomach thing seems to be going around - my boss (the woman I report to at church) is sick with it so it looks like I'll be running the service tomorrow (atleast the computer part of it). I put together the announcements and schedule today for her since she's not going anywhere.

Today was spent running the girls to play practice (they WILL be ready for Sunday, I pray), bring Robby to the doctor (diagnosis is sinus infection and severe bronchitis), go back to church to do some more work (we have another funeral service on Monday so I have to put that together), then come home to clean. Yea. (not really). I was SUPPOSED to ride but I felt I was out all day as it was and didn't want to leave the kids more than that. I hope the horse's owner understands. Now, tonight will be soup and salad for dinner and I think I'll run out and get a video so we can all relax and escape the hecticness of life.

    Mornin!!
At least my lonely days are over...my Honey got home last nite, & had to get up & go to work this morning. She seemed to enjoy her trip, got to see most of her family. Me & BH made the best of it, & I even managed to get most of the mess cleaned up fore she got back!!!

    Good morning all,

It has been beautiful here the last few days, highs in the low 60's with plenty of sunshine. The rain starts today. We'll still have warm temperatures, but we will be wet...

We were able to finish our outdoor decorating over Thanksgiving week-end.

I'm still not good at getting pictures on this new format, but you can go here and see one side of the front of our house. NATIVITY SCENE There are more pictures on the Christmas web site in my signature.

Time to get ready for SS and church.
    HAGD!

    Good Evening Everybody,

It's been a busy, busy, day so I'm just getting in.

I'm tired, and a bit lazy tonight [ I heard that TONIGHT!!?? - Now everybody look innocent ], so supper in the Coffeehouse, and at our house, will be Easy Bistro Chicken, Crispy Confetti Salad, Parmesan Bow-Tie Skillet, and Creamy-Layered Fruit Sensation. Enjoy.

They're all "No-Brainers" so even if I'm tired, and lazy, I can't mess them up [and believe me, at times, I can mess up boiling water]. :tongue3:

    Good morning all,

It is warm but raining. I'll be staying in making turkey salad, doing laundry and baking today. Our outside lights were off when I got up this morning. I sure hope nothing shorted out during the rain last night! Dale will have to check it out when he gets home from work.

I'm determined to get an early start on my work, so y'all have a great day and I'll peek back in here later.

    Time for coffee,

    Good Morning Everybody,

I can't believe it. It's the end of November and it was 50 degrees here at 7am,headed for a high in the 60's.

It took awhile, but we've found a new Church home. Jesus has led us to an IFB church that is warm, and welcoming, and where the Word is unashamedly preached. It's good to be Home.

I brought in Fruit-Filled Petal Rolls, Breakfast Calzones, Mini-Sticky Pecan Buns, and Sausage and Cheese Potato Casserole. Fresh Banana Pudding Smoothies, Mixed-Berry Smoothies, and Peachy Strawberry Smoothies. Enjoy.

Today, after my chores, I'll start putting up Christmas decorations, outside lights, and tonight after a dinner of Cheddar Chicken & Rice Skillet, Cheesy Smashed Potatoes, and Chocolate Cream Ornament Cake we'll all decorate the Christmas Tree.

We decorate it a little differently. Each night from now to Christmas Eve every person will put one ornament on the tree, we finish on Christmas Eve,when the Lighted Star is placed on the top of the tree. Each night we read a few verses of Luke's account of the Nativity, ending with the Birth of Jesus which we read on Christmas morning. Time for me to do my chores, then get the Christmas decorations and the Christmas tree up. I love this time of year.

We are still looking for a church. Last week the visiting pastor said he didn't understand the book of Revelation and that if it were up to him it wouldn't be in the Bible.
IFB churches are few and far between here in England.:(

Hi Sheila, I appreciate what you are saying. When I came home each year, I ued to preach in Anglican Churches around the countryside. They were all evangelical.

I was ordained under the Baptist Union, and the theology was rather mixed in those days. There were a number of independent Baptist Churches that were sound in theology.

    Cheers, and happy searching,

    Jim

    Good Morning, All.

Ed told me yesterday that I had not posted since July. I said that is impossible. I have been posting at least once a week or more. Then I realized. I have been doing most of my posting in the Private Women's Forum.

My old posting time has been taken over by getting children off to school.

It is really a blessing to have these two grandchildren with us and we are learning so much about this younger generation. We spend half or more of our time taking them to all their activities and I haven't spent this much time at school in many a year.

Let's see... we are learning all about horses, dogs, soccer, and martial arts, football, and music that makes no sense whatsoever.

I see many new faces in the coffeehouse along with old friends.

Have a great Lord's Day, everyone!

    Betty

    Hi Betty! :wavey:

    Good morning all,

It is 54º already with an expected high of 63º! Is this really the end of November???

My ears plugged up yesterday and it feels as if I'm hearing underwater. I have a doctor's appointment this morning to find out what is going on. I'm wondering if it is connected to the dizzy spells I've been having the last couple of months. I have a feeling he will refer me to an ear, nose, and throat specialist.

    Time for coffee!

Hi Betty! I don't think we've ever met so, it's nice to meet you!!

Today is going to be a day of homeschooling and laundry. I got behind in both due to the holiday/emergencies of congregants and a funeral so I'm getting back on track today. I also have an appointment for a haircut at noon which I SO need - I haven't had a cut since July and it's getting rather long and shapeless. I need a good trim.

This is also the busy week for us at church since our first Christmas play will be Sunday. We have practices Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday then Sunday the kids are at church all day. I'm looking forward to seeing it - it looks cute. I have to run to the barn to get a saddle and bring up one of my old bridles and halters for the set - they knew just who to go to for that! LOL!!

So, have a great day everyone!! Sorry I missed the food!

    Good Morning Everybody,

It's in the 50's again today!

    * SIGH * it's supposed to be in the 30's with snow showers by friday.

I brought in Hashbrown Casserole, Scrambled eggs with crumbled ham and cheese in them, Bacon, and Sausage Gravy with Hot Homemade Bisquits, and several fruit jams. Enjoy!

Have to get my chores done, then resume Christmas decorating.

*AHEM * as long as you "experts" are cleaning today you can come over and help me... hint...hint. I'll make lunch for us. Any takers? :tongue3:

Thanks for the offer, Rob! But I'd rather ME cook and YOU clean. :tongue3:

I'm feeling much better so I canceled my doctor's appointment. I'd rather put it off until after the holidays if possible.

So, now the agenda for today is baking and decorating sugar cookies! :applause:

Cover your ears, guys - I'm going to scream.....

    ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!

OK - thanks. I'm waiting to hear back from someone about something very exciting but I haven't heard from him since last night. I'm trying to buy a classic Mercedes off of E-bay where the buy it now was 1/10 of the value of the car!! I'm getting this for our senior pastor who is a classic Mercedes nut and has 2 (one we bought off of E-bay 3 years ago for $8800), and he saw this and said if it was true, he wants it. LOL!! So, I'm waiting to hear if we got it. If we did, DH and I will go with him to take a look at it and possibly drive it home.

Oh, I SO hope we get it! It would be beyond cool!! I actually ran the computer graphics for a funeral last night while I snuck in e-mailing this guy - DURING the funeral!! I hope I hear back from him soon before I have a nervous breakdown.
