IT IS NOT NECESSARILY ATHEISTICAL TO OPPOSE "CHRISTMAS"--IT IS CHRISTIAN TO OPPOSE ITS ESTABLISHMENT! WHERE ARE THE PROTESTANTS TODAY?

Now, let us listen to some voices of Christian pastors and theologians of history--rather than silly cartoons and myths, or the "traditions" and messages of the modern false prophets and Rome-leaning churches, who compete with the real scrooges of Wall Street, and newly-golded dome of State government's tax revenues, for "tithes and offerings" on the most "wonderful (i.e. profitable) day of the year!":

Where are Baptists of the same faith as Spurgeon today? But let us continue:

These are commentators the modern churches still quote, yet ne'er a word by them against Christmas, as recorded by these good men!

Here is another, who demonstrated how the Roman Church practiced in form and art, the very Babylonian idolatry, only dressed by Christian garb:

    ----------

Christmas is not Christianity! It is the religious worship of not Jesus
Christ, but that of pagan and papal Rome, the religion of Egypt, the
religion of Babylon, the global religion of the Juedeo-Masonic new world order, the religion of revolutionary world "Democracy" (Jacobins), yes, the Neo-cons, the superstitious Kabbalah, Zionism--the religion of Anti-Christ!
And now Governors and Presidents, like tyrants of old, are taking up "Divine Right" again, to establish State-sponsored superstitious worship, with lighted trees in the Babylonian fashion of Nebuchadnezzer, who expect all to bow at the sound of the music--while they violate their sworn oaths to the Constituition!

Of such tree idols, Jeremiah had warned the Jews while captive in Babylon, not to imitate their superstitious customs:

O Tannenbaum--what idolatry! What a description of the modern "Christmas tree", now established as superstitious, religious, ecumenical observance by Governors and Presidents!

THIS RELIGIOUS "HOLY-DAY" AND FORM OF WORSHIP OR CELEBRATION IS NOW BEING ESTABLISHED BY "BABYLON THE GREAT", AND IN THE PAGAN AND PAPAL ROMAN MODE BY U.S. AND STATE GOVERNMENTS--CONTRARY TO U.S. AND STATE CONSTITUTIONS
FORBIDDING SUCH--THE MARK OF RELIGIOUS TYRANNY, THAT WHICH THE PILGRIMS AND ENGLISH COLONIAL DISSENTERS FLED FROM UNDER THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND, TO AMERICA. APOSTASY IS THE PATH TO TYRANNY, AND THE STUPID AND CORRUPT AMERICAN CHURCHES ARE BEATING A PATH BACK TO EGYPTIAN BONDAGE, THE TYRANNY OF PHAROAHS AND NEBUCADNEZZERS, AND THAT OF CAESARS AND POPES.

Was the War for American Independence not tied to religious freedom, from the false and superstitious corruptions of Roman Catholic or Church of England Kings, and their "popery"--hotly protested against by dissidents, non-conformists, dissenters, yea, Baptists and Presbyterian "rebels", who would not bow the knee to corrupt worship of a corrupt church-state tyranny and its usurping, absolutist "Divine Right" ("to legislate in all things whatsoever") and priest-craft? Why was Roman Catholicism banned from Virginia, for some time! Why did the Baptists get jailed for preaching without licenses, and refusing to pay "taxes" to the corrupt and tyrannical Church of England!! Why did Patrick Henry defend the Baptist preachers--and George Whitefield lead a Great Awakening revival, by castigating the corruption of the "established churches", and their loyalist priests! NOW MODERN AMERICANS, ARE BECOMING LOVERS OF TYRANNY, OF SUPERSTITION...CONTRARY TO THEIR FOREFATHERS!

OH FOOLISH CHRISTIAN-PROFESSING AMERICANS--AND WEST VIRGINIANS--WHO HAS BEWITCHED YOU? THE NEW ROMAN WORLD ORDER--AMERICA'S NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM OF JUDEO-MASONRY--IS RE-ESTABLISHING THE BABYLONIAN MYSTERY RELIGIONS, AND IT IS EXPRESSED IN THIS BIRTH OF THE SUN GOD--BAAL!--ON DECEMBER 25TH, the name of Jesus Christ abused, for a false Christianity, for that of Anti-Christ!

It is impossible for the superstitious to be free, who are made vulnerable to lies from their pretendedly religious governments.

Don't you think we have more important things to do than condemn fellow Christians who choose to esteem a day differently than we might?

If you regard the day, regard the day. If you don't regard the day, don't regard the day.

[having only skimmed i dare to post] I like to believe it as one of the long records of Christians overcoming pagan traditions by inventing a tradition of their own, like Easter, All Hallowed Eve, Thanksgiving...I guess we might want to consider another holidy that is more accuartely in the season Christ was actually born, Dr. MgGee I think suggested March-July, which my birthday falls in as well! Like a Ramadan-personal celebration. And everyone else can choose to celebrate something for the winter, 'decemberween,' maybe.

I guess you had better quit eating meals because that is a secular establishment. BTW you shouldn't go to work because that is secular as well. Don't ever get narried because that was a secular celebration before it ever entered the chruch.

Eating meals is a secular establishment?

Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

I think it was shortly thereafter that God ordained work.

Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

As for marriage, don't get me started...

    hummm,
it's shame christians oppose celebrating Jesus' birth.
But then so does sceular society. Like Happy Holidays, instead of Merry Christmas. Holiday tree instead of Christmas tree. No mager scenes, no anything CHRISTmas.
Therefore I think opposing Christmas is secular, not christian.

The Mass of Christ (Christmas) is for Catholics and the daughters of Rome.

What concord has this practice with the New Testament Church?

The question is not "What is wrong with it?", the real question is "What is right with it?"

Israel always got in trouble when they made light of spiritual idolatry.

    Selah,

Then would certainly suggest that you do do esteem the day Bro. James.

I will do so unto the Lord. I know I am not a Catholic or a "daughter of Rome."

Once again, I am glad that I only have to answer to one Judge.

I see the nuts have come out for the holidays...

The JW's do not celebrate Christmas either. Of course their 'Christ' is not ours.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord... and enjoy the promises and the blessing of His presence on Dec. 25th as we would on any other day.

Excellent observation Bro. James. It almost seems surreal that Baptists now mock and ridicule the historic faith. Also, thanks for the link bluridgewv. [IMG]

Everyone by now has seen my rant about the pagan gods names of the days of the week:

I like to pull it out this time of the year.

Sunday - Day of the sun
Monday - Day of the moon.
    Tuesday - Zeus day
    Wednesday - Woden's day
    Thursday = Thor's day
    Friday - Freya's day
    Saturday - Saturn's day.

    http://www.gwydir.demon.co.uk/jo/roman/daysweek.htm

To be consistent in opposing the "pagan" aspects of Christianity, you should purge your vocabulary of these names of the days of the week because everytime you use one of these names you honor the god after which it was named.

The biblical principle is to use cardinal numbers, or derivatives: First day...seventh day.

So, do you go to prayer meeting on Wednesday (Woden's day) or maybe Thursday (Thor's day)?

Check your Church calendar or bulletin.

KJV Exodus 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

    Repent!
