I have migraines - which I've made no secret about AND I also have Celiacs which I found out about in looking at migraine treatments.

I've been surprised when I've mentioned it that no one else here has said that they have Celiacs too. Usually one or two other people bring up that they have it.

I have a form of diabetes that does not require treatment, or medication, but will not allow me to eat whatever I want. I can't drink sodas or eat any candy bars or ice cream, without a very bad reaction, that would require a trip to the emergency room. I have to be careful about what I eat, but I think that's a good thing. Also, it put a stop to my beer drinking, so I guess it's a very good thing.

In 1986-1987 I was fighting non-Hodgekin's Lymphoma, but have had a clean bill since.

My dad was kind enough to pass on his diabetes to me. He didn't have much choice. His dad passed it on to him. And so on, and so on...

Overweight and slowly inching toward the high end of the sugar table. "Insulin Resistant".

But when you're dying from my disease, watching your weight or fussing over a Hershey bar seems oxymoronic.

    Think I'll go have a Suzy-Q . . :saint:

Thank the Lord, so far I've been spared ( at 56) from major health problems.

Funny, my dad did the same thing to me. Also working on pancreatic cancer. Not much fun.

Fat, borderline high cholesterol, and borderline high blood pressure. Otherwise, I'm healthy and strong as a horse (ox or whatever).

Well, I think I'm overweight, since I'm much heavier than I was, but the doctor is not worried about it because I don't have high blood pressure, diabetes, or anything else. I'm as healthy as they come. (Well, there is this sinus condition...) I guess, since I came into this world fat and bald, I may as well go out the same way.

I did have skin cancer that was successfully treated, so I don't have a problem with that any more.

My biggest health problem is that I broke my ankle in four places, tore all the ligaments and cartilege loose, some of the tendons, etc. They had to bolt me back together, so I have a bunch of stainless steel that is a permanent part of me. (BTW, this is what led to my weight gain; when you sit on your rear for a year...)

They were talking amputation for a while, but now I'm getting around fine. It still causes me problems on days like today where I had to spend about 12 hours on my feet straight, with the rest upright. I'm supposed to elevate.

I also just had surgery on my toe on my other foot. I'm supposed to keep that elevated, but I can't right now. The doctor knows and wants me to keep an eye on it. They thought they were going to have to amputate it. I told the doctor to quit talking about cutting off body parts, as I was born with just the right number...

Chronic Bronchitis, COPD, heart attack with resulting heart problems, periodic skin cancer (some malignant, some benign).

My mother and all of my siblings had adult onset diabetes. I have been spared so far, but I get tested yearly...

OK, ya'll meet at my church tomorrow. I've called Benny H., and he's agreed to heal ya'll for a nominal fee (I'll be adding a 10% commission for our building fund).

Grade 2 Spondyloisthesis here...a disintegration of the lower "collars" of the verterbral column. Good ol' spinal fusion awaits (putting off as long as humanly possible!)

Benny Hinn has been a great blessing, to me. When I see his hair, I can thank God I'm bald.

Since losing my weight (150 lbs...Whoo-hoooo) I only have to contend with my kidney transplant issues which was caused by Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and hypothyroidism.

    God is soooooo Good!!!

Diabetes - high blood pressure - high cholesterol - leaky valve in the heart.

First three cared for nicely with drugs and diet - last helped by losing about 45 pounds over the last year or so.

Pulminary back pressure from lungs due to leaky valve is now normal - thanks to the weight lose.

Nasty vericose veins and swelling in ankels nicely taken care of with support hose. One of the many reasons I don't wear shorts outside of my home.

All - in - all -- the Lord has been good to me - even though I haven't always been good to myself.
