    Bush was the one who initially pushed for giving amnesty to illegal aliens. Now that he sees that it's politically unpopular he blaming it on "those liberals." I'm certainly against allowing illegal aliens to easily become citizens.

    It is the liberals that desperately want the immigrants, whether legal or otherwise, to be allowed to vote. They have a long history of exploiting minorities. GWB, in his misguided desire to help the worlds poor, buy Americanization, is a willing accomplice. He is splitting the GOP as a result. I think he believes it is his duty before God.

    It's not so much of a split in the GOP, more like a purge. Only the Tancredos & Hunters left.

    Nah, that's not going to happen. It's like that analogy Rush used about Jesse Jackson. They have nowhere to go, so they will stay there. Those acolytes who support the Administration without question know this.
