And again, it's this line of thinking that really has the Church looking bad because it's as though we care more about winning an election and giving Obama the boot than we do about God's Right. Why should we, whose primary purpose is to do God's will and glorify Him, really care which one of the darkness vs darkness candidates wins? I just don't get it. Neither one of them is going to save this country or this world. So why doesn't the Body of Christ concern itself with honoring its Head as the Redeemer and Savior of mankind instead of looking to voting for one unGodly man being a vote for the other unGodly man?

You're kidding right? It is by GOD that his ungodliness is righteously judged. Of course he's not a born again believer in Christ. Now I know we are not this desperate to get this man elected that we are not willing to venture that an avowed Mormon is possibly a born again believer in Christ. God help us.

This is why the Church needs to be on her face confessing and repenting before a HOLY God.

That's not stealing. This one falls into the Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's. While I'm not a fan of extreme taxation in order to basically buy voting blocs for political parties, the government can tax us as much as they like. And we have the right to get rid of them.

It's mammon. And the Body of Christ has to decide is it more important to protect mammon and my stuff than it is to not vote for someone who worships a false god.

I certainly hope this is not the impetus for the evangelical support of Romney.

This can SURELY be asked of both candidates.

They're both anti-Christs. Neither one best represents us. We should be representing Christ.

When Christians are supporting a man who worships a false god, how do we have a platform to tell someone else that something doesn't support God's rule?

When both sides are anti-Christ, yes, it will be what it will be. But if you're in Christ, you're not hardly doomed. But KNOWING that the outcome will be what it will, why are Christians supporting the demonic as opposed to supporting Christ?

Well, I don't think the "Romney is a Mormon! ZOM_!!!!!" was what I had in mind. I agree with the founders that there should be no religious test for public office. The most important thing is that the official honors his or her Oath of Office (and God takes oaths before Him seriously). My problem is with Christians thinking that they have a duty before God to vote for the Republican because the Republican is less evil, as if God cares about our materialistic concerns. Christians forget that there IS a God who can govern the affairs of men, and think that God's will being done is entirely determined on us trying to compromise our morals for the sake of keeping the really bad guy out. God is stronger than Obama (big understatement of the day), and He can set up and take down kingdoms. He doesn't care who gets elected. What He cares about is the moral purity of His people.

I am a democrat and a christian. I just don't agree with their pushing for gay rights and pro-choice, which is flashy wording for pro-abortion.

    Materialistic?????
    1-Abortion??
    2-Queer marriage??
    3-Blatant character assassination??
    4-Encouragement to laziness??
    5-Encouragement to sexual promiscuity??

    6-Legalized theft??
    7-Baldfaced lying??
    8-?? -----------

Before some of you get your panties in a wad, I acknowledge that the Rs have some of the same problems, BUT nowhere to the extent the Ds do - especially for the first five(5) listed!

The Ds have perfected the art of those!!!!!!

So, the differences are far, far, more than MATERIALISTIC!

So this is an issue of yours stinks more than mine? This is why folks call us hypocrites. Wrong is wrong and trying to put either side on a high horse when it comes to these things is a losing battle every time.

That's like saying the Reps don't lie as much as the Dems do, or vice versa. A liar is a liar, is a liar, is a liar.....

That's right.:applause: And that's why it's so tragic that the Body is missing this opportunity to show that we stand for Christ more than self and our wants for this nation.

God can handle His business. But the Church doesn't want to humble herself and turn from her wicked ways.

Christians supporting someone who does not worship Christ to be the head of the nation is about as wicked as wicked gets.

I would have described myself as a Democrat a few years ago - but I've increasingly found that so many liberal ideals just don't fit with Christianity. That's just my experience though. Feel free to disagree if you wish!

I can see that. But again, what this election cycle has brought to light is that the same way Christians can overlook or justify as inconsequential the likes of abortion and same-sex stuff on the Democrat side because they want to win an election, Christians on the Republican side have done the same in the past and are doing the same in reference to Romney's worshiping a false god because they want to win an election.

When is the Body going to stand up for Christ and say I'm not voting for either side if this is the type of unGodly behavior that's going to be the face of the party?

Folks are more passionate about winning an election than they are about Christ.

You need to change the record. This one has a groove worn in it and keeps playing the same old song.

    Yes....AMEN!

Zaac....I couldn't agree more! The very BOTTOM line for us as Born Again Christians is that we will stand before our Lord and the Judgment Seat of Christ and give a personal accounting for the choices we made here AFTER the day of our salvation. How and who we voted for will be just one of the things we all answer for. With the current choices we are offered, I'm beginning to believe pretty strongly that I (personally) will be unable to participate in this world's political system this time. I voted for Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party in the last election and was glad to have a Bible believer to choose from....but this time...it is "pick your favorite anti-Christ". I don't even pray for God to bless the USA anymore....I pray for God's WILL concerning this country (and this world) to be done (we need to remember that His will MAY be to bring this country under judgment to advance his "plan"). God is in control no matter what we do or how things seem. That's just my opinion about things...I'll stand by it but anyone who wants to disagree is certainly welcome to and I'll still love ya anyway!

Yes, the truth is pretty repetitive. You seem to be stuck in a one groove record with your retorts too. Reminds me of all the liberals wondering why the Republicans are always talking about homosexuality.

I see no reason to believe Ben Franklin or Thomas Jefferson were saved, yet they set up a nation in which freedom was the rule, just like the Old Testament said they should, and the U.S.A. has been the source for more New Testament churches worldwide. I daresay this country has spread the true gospel of Christ better than any nation before.

I watch republicans and democrats demonize the other, and then expand each other's programs. Both parties nibble away at liberty, telling us it's for our own good. Both parties support endless war, evil sanctions, surveillance of it's citizens,...

I don't see how a person who professes Christ could be anything BUT a libertarian, just like the Old Testament tells us we should.

You conflated two different issues here. You cannot be a practicing homosexual who is not consistently convicted of their behavior and be a Christin. But that goes for any sin.

Any political party has its issues. That said the Democrat party is pure evil because one of its primary platforms is the slaughter of millions of innocent children. Just because one is in the the Democrat party does not make them evil or unChristian. That party needs good God fearing men just like anything else. Would it not be nice to have the Democrat party get into control by them and run the extremists like Reid, Pelosi, and the most evil of all Obama out on a rail.

I don't really know how to measure degrees of evil even though I have tried. But killing 50 million babies has got to be up there on the scale.

But when you look at the countless millions and possibly billions that may stumble into an eternal lake of fire because evangelicals are setting a man who worships a false god up to be the leader of the free world, it gets me wondering which party is REALLY more evil than the other?

Well then I suppose you are relegated to only voting for true Christians for the office of President. Good luck with that!

I can always write in someone who is Godly. I just have no devotion to the democrats or the Republicans especially if their candidates don't reflect the core doctrines of Christ.

And if you can't get the Greatest Commandment right, ain't no way in Hades am I voting for ya.

There's just no difference for me in setting up a man as President who says he is a Christian but does nothing to show it, than there is to set a man up as President who says he is, but DEFINITELY is not.

evil vs evil and I won't support it.
