    "Regular"? What's that? Just enough to inform?

    At what point does the coverage of aljazeera become a celebration instead of news? When it's broadcast repeatedly all over the arab world far beyond just the need to inform.

    Coupling that with their reporting on the iraq war reinforced the fact they were primarily interested in agitation of arabs against America.

    If you wish to close your eyes, please do. Just don't expect the rest of us to buy into their propaganda with you.

    There is a theory that the best way to be informed is to keep your eyes open to all points of view and make informed decisions from a variety of viewpoints. Limiting oneself to one or two media sources because all the rest are 'liberal' would seem to me to be truly keeping ones eyes closed.

    So is believing al jazeera is not a shill for the cause of radical islam.

    No one needs the perspective from radical Islam and Al Jazeera. Who would even consider it?

    If we need their perspective don't we also need the perspective to be gleaned from WatchTower, PlayBoy, Out Magazine, Positive Atheist Magazine, Witches&Pagans, Hindu Group Publications, and etc. in order to make informed decisions?

    They why seek to follow any news source? Fox for one constantly has half dressed women on its website. Why do Christians go there?

    It's called knowing your enemy. It does you no good to accept your thoughts about him and his action as being real. Well, the current occupants of the White House and the State Dept seem to think such projections are the way to go.

    I have tried to find some old tapes on line, but like you I have not yet found any. They may have been removed, erased, etc. But, I did view these right after the towers went down and the Iraq war started. I was interested in seeing what that network was saying about things, and I was surprised and angered.

    I'll keep looking.

    Well Said, BUT...

    Fox doesn't have their lead desk anchors/personalities coming out of the closet. It seems that CNN is falling apart. They've lost anchors, while Fox retains their anchors. Anc MSNBC and CNN have fallen in ratings.

    TW may be resisiting AJ for money, but I am resisting it because we are at war with the philosphy behind these folks from the midEast. They can say they do not line up with the radicals, but when the day is done, Arabs from all around the world are celebrating that AJ has become an America network [even if it's cable], they've got a foot in the door.

    Since Al Jazeera English wasn't launched until 2005 (06?) wasn't it hard to tell what the commentators were saying about the videos of celebrations? Those same videos were also seen on Western news networks.

    You didn't answer my question.

    Each of the examples I gave have a perspective to consider. If we need AJ to make informed decisions, shouldn't we consider those, as well? As Christians (members of His church), aren't there valid reasons why we should avoid them?

    Instead of answering the question, you brought up the equivalent of "pants on women" as a response. Is women's dress the criterior by which men evaluate news sources? Can I assume that you do not watch your local news and weather (on line or TV) for the same reason that you condem Fox News?

    Why do Christians find it necessary get their news from the decendents of Ishmael?

    Lost descendants of Ishmael, lost descendants of Israel, lost Gentiles - does it really make a difference?

    Al Jazeera is just like any other news service made up of lost people reporting world news from a lost perspective. CNN, BBC, CBS, Fox, whoever have no moral or philosophical superiority over any other. There are all out to make a buck. At least AJ reports news and not whose dress fell off at what entertainment event and who broke up with whom to sleep with someone else.

    Liberals hate the whole truth, thus they hate FOX. Because they report the things the corrupt old media leaves out on purpose.

    You can get the partial news anywhere, FOX helps complete the picture.

    I do believe you watch them more than I do.:laugh:

    Bizarre behaviour by Mr. Gore is not a new phenomona. Books sales are probably down. Maybe the global warming has fried his brain.

    Can we compare this event to most of our merchants selling out to China?
