......Home Game took place this past Friday. Our team, the Lighthouse (LCS) Lions played against the Franklin Classical High School (FCS) scored the first touchdown, but LCS replied with an interception and immediately scored with a touchdown. That was pretty much how the first half of the first quarter went.

The 1st half of the 2d quarter was pretty much FCS's ball with their team scoring two back-to-back touchdowns.

LCS asked for a timeout so that our team could be urged to play like our 2014 team did (Last year our team won the state championship over all of the Christian schools who belong to the Tennessee Christian School Athletic Association (TCSAA).

LCS's original football field was totally destroyed in the massive "1,000-year Flood" of May, 2010, that destroyed many homes and killed at least 70 people 2010. Moreover, LCS itself lost her entire preschool and kindergarten facilities which by God's grace and the TV program "Exreme Home Makeover's" coming to build a brand-new state of the art pre-K and K5 facility (Something that her sponsoring Lighthouse Christian Fellowship could have never been able to due since her total membership was only about 200 at the time of the 2010 flood.)

But God knew of our situation, so He moved on the hearts of the Extreme Home Makeover people plus many individuals throughout the US to come help build our new facilities right next to our HS facilities which is at a much higher level than that of what they were located right next to the banks of Mill Creek.

Consequently our football teams were then played at the Antioch Middle School (AMS)'s football field which is located on the other side of I-24E.

LCS's school body isn't anywhere near that of FCS's (or of its financial backing) but we did go on to squeeze out a win, even though most of this year's team was composed of boys who hadn't had much experience playing football because either most of last year's wining team were graduating seniors, or the few junior-year players left to go on to other schools.

At any rate, this year's team played much better than some expected to do. We only won over FCS by 2 points, but a win is a won, and a W was added to LCS for this year!

Congratulations on a hard fought win! Putting together a sports program at a Christian school can be a difficult process. Even at our own school - which has an accomplished program - it can be challenging. Even more so in football - especially when you play non-Christian private and public schools. Congrats!

We play our first game this Friday! Hope to make it out there -- should be fun.
