I think that I am the last one to have found out but it seems that Starbucks supports Planned Parenthood so it is time for me to say goodbye to that coffee shop, which I probably visited three or four times a year. They won't miss me, and I won't miss them.

"...How does Starbucks fund Planned Parenthood? The answer appears to be through matching grants for donations employees make to the abortion business...."

Especially when their coffee tastes like dirt out of the cow pasture.

Why should it be difficult to boycott those companies listed above?

Are there no alternatives to turn to?

Is there anything on the list that we can not do without?

Stopping the slaughter and butchering of the unborn isn't worth it if it inconveniences us a little?

Let me know how you do with the boycotts.

That's just the short list. In order to boycott these companies you will need to take an electronic device with you every time you shop and cross reference each item.

You also need to check your financial portfolio and make sure none of these companies are included in your portfolio (even mutual funds, etc).

    Consumer-driven boycotts rarely work.

He doesn't need to do any of those things. He, like many other people, can avoid as many as they know. It is not an all or nothing scenario.

That wasn't what he said. He said:

He made it very clear that he thought it possible to all out boycott those companies.

I don't know what Starbucks you go to but I get a medium coffee with half and half and it's $2.12 (with tax). And every 12 cups I get, I get one free. :) Oh and if I choose to sit in Starbucks and read or work on my computer, I get free refills.

Very good, Matt. Carry another person's argument to an extreme so that you may declare it as ridiculous.

If I may do the same with yours...

Matt's right. It's hopeless we should all just send a contribution to Planned Parenthood.

They are getting ready to open a store in my small town. I would not give them a "thin dime", as those of us who recall the Franklin Delano Roosevelt depression would say, for a cup of their coffee.

Those who are against boycotting Planned Parenthood and are against cutting taxpayer funding of same..

Could look into collecting some baby parts on their own to send in as a show of their support.

    Who is this group?

I'm not against boycotting...in fact I have never visited a Planned Parenthood location and never will.

As for boycotting companies that give to them, I don't have anything against people that do (or try to). I just think it is impracticable.

You would also need to boycott any company that gives to United Way, since United Way distributes to Planned Parenthood. This now means you need to boycott practically every corporation in America.

I am against cutting funding to Planned Parenthood.
