My book "SpellBound" is out!

I'm very excited! A book I wrote, published by Cook, is out! The Foreword is by Norman Geisler.

It's mainly a guide for parents (or pastors and teachers as well) on the occult in our culture, how it's marketed and packaged to children and teens, and how to talk to children and teens about it. It also gives a bibilcal evaluation of the occult. The book is SpellBound: The Paranormal Seduction of Today's Kids. It covers "ghosts," astrology, psychics, talking to the dead, angels, magic (real magic) and spells, and more.

This comes from my own experience in the occult/New Age and talking to youth groups, teens, and children about these areas, and from my research and experience in my ministry. I was asked to write this book as I was told there was not such a book for Christians.

Yep, been there, done that. I was Chairperson of the Atlanta Board of Astrology Examiners for 3 of the last 4 yrs. I was on the Board. The Board was created to test would-be astrologers in Atlanta who wanted to purchase a business license. It was required legally to have a license. The Board formulated and graded the exams. Each year I was on, only half passed (not because of me! The exam was hard - 7 hours). I took and passed this exam myself in 1983.

I also taught astrology for over 5 yrs. But years before astrology, I was involved in Eastern beliefs and practices (Hindu beliefs, Tibetan Buddhism, Zen), contact with the supposed dead, study of numerology, etc.

Just be glad I didn't touch all the religions I had in my "previous" lives (i.e., when I believed in reincarnation and had thoughts or "memories" of what I had believed before)!
