A Century of Interventionism and Regime Change

I started this thread because I was reading along in another "The Liberal Lie - The Conservative Truth". It looked to me as though the folks in this thread either cannot or will not remember certain areas of the past.

We have a very long history of foreign interventions that nobody seems interested in talking about and on those rare occasions that we do we get all caught up our own polical bias and end up trying to pin the tail on the donkey (or elephant) long before the whole truth can be discovered.

Bro Curtis said in one post, "those who want the truth will dig for it".

I agree however it seems to me we're never willing to dig far enough back in our history or lay aside our political differences long enough to uncover the whole truth. And that truth is it takes two tango, and tango we did all the way from Hawaii to Iraq! Imho, when it comes to our long history of foreign interventionism there is only one truth and it's neither liberal or conservative.

 

From what I've seen in my few years of posting on BB is that most folks here (politics forum) are more interested in "truthiness" than the truth. And of course perpetuating the half truths and party propaganda that may as well be e-mailed to them daily in a form letter. There need only be two form letters.

Today's Republican talking points and today's Democratic talking points.
