Come on folks - why do I need an office to vote? I have voted several times when overseas - and it was very simple.

    A somewhat similar story:

    The Military Ballot FUBAR

[Madison, Wisc...] At least 30 Wisconsin municipalities failed to send absentee ballots to military voters before the 45 day deadline, according to former U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Anthony Principi, and he's demanding the Government Accountability Board address the problem immediately.

As reported by the website WisPolitics.com, Principi sent a letter to the GAB on Monday pointing out the failure to meet the 45 day deadline is in violation of Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voter Act.

"This violation is particularly unsettling in light of the fact that, only six months ago, a federal court entered a consent decree against Wisconsin and the Government Accountability Board for similar violations of military voting rights," wrote Principi.

(The Government Accountability Board, which oversees elections in Wisconsin, is supposed to be nonpartisan; but a majority of its members are left-leaning. Many of their decisions made reflect this fact.)

Same here Salty. I received an e-mail from my state saying my absentee ballot was ready to download. I followed their directions, downloaded the PDF file, printed it, printed an envelope from their instructions, folded it, inserted the ballot and took it to the embassy. I handed it to the woman working the consulate affairs and it is on its way to my state. I was given a deadline on what date the ballot has to be received and I am well ahead of that. Couldn't be easier.

Are you implying Scott Walker? The majority of its members were appointed by the previous governor, Jim Doyle- a hard left Democrat.
