Media Covers Up Turks Planning False Flag to Start Syria War

    Prison Planet.com
    March 28, 2014

While the media widely reported that the Turkish government shut down YouTube in the country to protect a leak of sensitive information, they ignored that the information exposed Turkish government officials plotting a criminal missile attack on their own country — a false flag — in order to start a Syrian war.

CONFIRMED: NATO's Plans for False Flag Attack on Turkey Revealed

March 28, 2014 (Tony Cartalucci - LD) - It has been revealed that NATO has been planning a false flag attack against Turkey to justify the Turkish invasion of northern Syria, the International Business Times reported in its article, "Turkey YouTube Ban: Full Transcript of Leaked Syria 'War' Conversation Between Erdogan Officials."

It released the full transcript of a leaked conversation between the head of Turkish intelligence Hakan Fidan and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.

    The Times reported:

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's ban of YouTube occurred after a leaked conversation between Head of Turkish Intelligence Hakan Fidan and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu that he wanted removed from the video-sharing website.

The leaked call details Erdogan's thoughts that an attack on Syria "must be seen as an opportunity for us [Turkey]".

In the conversation, intelligence chief Fidan says that he will send four men from Syria to attack Turkey to "make up a cause of war".

Deputy Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Yaşar Güler replies that Fidan's projected actions are "a direct cause of war...what you're going to do is a direct cause of war".

Turkey's foreign ministry said the leaked recording of top officials discussing the Syria operation was "partially manipulated" and is a "wretched attack" on national security.

In the leaked video, Fidan is discussing with Davutoğlu, Güler and other officials a possible operation within Syria to secure the tomb of Suleyman Shah, grandfather of the founder of the Ottoman empire.

The Western media has purposefully obsessed myopically over Turkey's ban of Twitter and Facebook and leaks regarding "corruption," in an attempt to sidestep conversations revealing Turkey, a NATO member for decades, planning a false flag attack that would lead to an intentionally provoked war with neighboring Syria.

This comes as Turkey provides air support, logistics, and artillery cover for members of the US State Department designated terrorist group Al Nursa who have been leading an ongoing offensive from Turkish territory into Syria's northwestern province of Latakia.

Syria’s Victory Is Turning Point For Western Global Hegemony

Since 2011, Syria has been the target of an attempted foreign-backed regime change. Riding on the momentum of the US-engineered “Arab Spring,” protesters took to the streets across Syria, serving as cover for armed militants the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia – on record – had been preparing since at least as early as 2007.

It was in Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh’s 2007 article, “The Redirection: Is the Administration’s new policy benefiting our enemies in the war on terrorism?” that prophetically stated (emphasis added):

“To undermine Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, the Bush Administration has decided, in effect, to reconfigure its priorities in the Middle East. In Lebanon, the Administration has coöperated with Saudi Arabia’s government, which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda.”

Syria’s destabilization was ongoing alongside other Arab nations, including Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt. In Tunisia and Egypt, the fallout was political, with limited street violence. In Libya, the fallout was absolute – the nation utterly decimated by so-called “freedom fighters” later revealed as Al Qaeda militants of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG).

The West’s blitzkrieg across North Africa and the Middle East took many nations by surprise. Their inability to respond effectively to orchestrated “color revolution” have resulted in 3 years of regional destabilization, regime change, and even war.

In Syria however, the government and the people held on, and then, began fighting back.

It was clear by January 2013 that Syria’s security forces had turned the tide against the foreign-backed militants who had for 2 years been flowing across their border and sowing deadly chaos across the Middle Eastern nation. Irreversible gains were being made everywhere from the north near Syria’s largest city Aleppo, all along the Lebanese border, and particularly in the southern city of Daraa, the so-called “birthplace” of the “uprising.”

The Western media continued portraying the situation in Syria as fluid, with the Syrian government teetering and their militant proxies on the verge of making a breakthrough. In reality, desperation had set in across Washington, London, Riyadh, and Tel Aviv. Attempts to provoke a wider war with direct Israeli attacks on Syrian territory were carried out but with no effect, and by August of 2013, the West had grown so desperate to directly intervene to salvage their floundering proxy forces, they even staged a false-flag chemical attack on the outskirts of Damascus. Much to the West’s dismay, the false-flag attack not only failed to provide them with the pretext needed for direct intervention, it severely and perhaps irreparably hobbled their credibility and international standing.

Turkey Vs. Syria: NATO’s Last Gasp?

Turkey’s Hypocrisy Only Matched by Its Desperation

Turkey’s downing of a Syrian plane it knew was targeting militants it is intentionally harboring within its territory is problematic for several reasons.

First, these militants crossing over into Syria from Turkey are openly identified as Al Qaeda’s Al Nusra front by the above mentioned Reuters report - Al Nusra being a designated terrorist organization by the US State Department itself, thus making the Turkish government guilty of violating both US and international law.

Second, as a NATO member for decades, Turkey’s role in aiding and abetting Al Qaeda terrorists, including harboring them within its territory, providing them with material support, and even coordinating its military assets including its air force during this latest incursion into neighboring Syria – all while NATO is allegedly fighting “Al Qaeda” in Afghanistan, further illustrates the profound hypocrisy of not only Turkey’s foreign policy, but undermines utterly both NATO’s legitimacy and the legitimacy of each nation’s foreign policy counted among its membership.

Additionally, Turkey’s insistence that Syria has no right to pursue designated terrorists near or across its borders jeopardizes Turkey’s own long-standing policy of pursuing Kurds near and well across its borders. As recently as 2011, even as it lectured Syria on fighting armed militants, Turkey sent troops and warplanes across its border with Iraq in “pursuit” of “Kurdish rebels.” McClatchy reported in its article, “Turkey invades Iraq after Kurdish rebels kill 26 Turkish soldiers,” that:

Turkey sent troops and fighter jets into Iraq Wednesday in “hot pursuit” of Kurdish rebels who killed more than 25 Turkish soldiers in multiple attacks in the southern Turkish province of Hakkari. It was the first cross-border violence in five years between Turkish troops and Kurdish guerrillas who Turkey says shelter in northern Iraq.

    Read more here:http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/10/19/2461652/turkey-invades-iraq-after-kurdish.html#storylink=cpy

Turkey’s recent obstruction of Syria in its battle against internationally designated terrorist groups within and along its borders will give the enemies of Ankara the ability to further leverage the Kurdish struggle for independence against Turkish interests. On a more international scale, Turkey’s behavior, particularly as a member of NATO, could be cited by nations such as Pakistan in regards to NATO’s cross-border incursions from Afghanistan. If Turkey can shoot down Syrian warplanes targeting Al Qaeda terrorists openly flooding into its territory, why couldn’t Pakistan apply more pressure on NATO as it carries out attacks on much more ambiguous targets within Pakistani territory?

    Last Gasp

The West’s legitimacy and reputation continues to suffer as a direct result of its systematic and increasingly overt hypocrisy. It’s inability to adhere to the standards it has set as the framework for the very global order it presumes leadership over shakes the confidence of others expected to find their place within it. And as this hypocrisy manifests itself in invasions, occupations, proxy terrorism, regime change, political and economic destabilization, as well as overt propaganda campaigns carried out by the West’s immense media corporations, the world will seek a different order all together.

Why Turkey Was Planning a False Flag Operation in Syria

You’ve probably heard about the recent leaked conversations involving Turkey.

It was stunning to hear the highest-ranking Turks causally discussing how to provoke a false flag incident that would justify a large military intervention in Syria.

This is a big deal because Turkish troops in Syria opens the door to NATO troops in Syria, which drastically expands the conflict.

As someone who has spent a number of years living and working in the Middle East, and having been to Syria multiple times, I was encouraged by my colleagues at Casey Research to share my perspective on this.

In case you didn’t know, a false flag is an incident that is designed to deceive people into thinking it was actually carried out by someone else.

It’s like the scene in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. There’s a character who plays on the high school football team and has a fancy sports car. Later, his little brother’s friend accidentally trashes this car. Terrified at how the big brother could respond, they come up with a clever plan to shift the blame on someone else. They make it look like a rival football team vandalized the car, decorating it in the rival team’s colors and slogans. The plan works—the big brother is tricked into thinking that a rival football team trashed his car instead of the little brother.

This is the essence of a false flag, and the same tactic is used by the world’s militaries and intelligence services to nefarious effect. Many believe the Reichstag fire incident that allowed Hitler to drastically expand his power was a false flag operation.

    < snip >

So, why would the Turks propose doing such a thing in Syria?
