How much do you give to your church? (not amount but "percentage"?

I picked two, I give what I can and I give my time to the church. I am a steady volunteer for setting up,breaking down, outreach, and anything else needed.

Between the two, I feel very comfortable with what I give.

I tithe then give what I can on top of that. I believe in receiving by giving.

To my mind, the tithe with offerings extra is minimum from what monies I receive. I also consider all that I have as being God's and in my trust. We have also partially supported a missionary in Africa and give her special gifts throughout the year apart from what her mission "pays" her...no receipts required and no accountability, but to God.

    Cheers,

    Jim

We use the 10% as a starting point. We also give to missions. All of that is sent back to our home church, which in a way is pointless, but that's how it is preferred there.

Here, we give, but there is no percentage.

It is pointless, but we do the same thing. I would probably loose some supporting churches if I did not tithe to my home church.

I give my time as a cook and cleaner to make up for the small offering of money

    FWIW,

The tithe was intended to support the Levites and the sacrificial system of the OT. It is not commanded for the NT. NT givers are to give freely, not as under compulsion, but hilariously. (2 Corin. 9:6, 7).
