Joseph, it is too bad you are jumping all over prophecynut. I think he is saying the opposite of what you think he is saying. He is saying the Jews got blamed and were not at fault. At least, that's how I read it. But maybe I'm tired and not reading it right.

    That is good news.

    LE,

You are reading it wrong. Try reading it again. He is merely espousing the same anti-semitic hatred that led to the slaughter of thousands of innocent Jews in the Middle Ages.

Pat Robertson said yesterday that in this massive historic event - God is not actually trying to tell the World anything --

    Do you agree?

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

I don't know if he is trying to tell the world anything or not. Does he mean by this that God is not trying to punish the world, perhaps a good discussion on this would be here.

I don't believe that we can judge whether or not this was God's judgement. It may very well have just been the natural shifting of God's created tectonic plates.

I do think we can see a Biblical pattern of God's judgement / punishment through the use of natural disasters and probably have some clues.

These historic natural disasters are very much God's judgments falling AND are one of His chosen means for arousing us from sleep to realize the danger we are in and the near event of the 2nd coming.

Christ adds the fact of wars, famine and earthquake to HIS OWN review of important signals leading up to the end -- Matt 24:7.

The increase in frequency of these events - and the historic nature of this particular mega-thrust serves to wake people up.

Those who turn a blind eye to even this level of God's "Falling judgments" -- are in danger of the 1Thess 5:1-14 problem of crying out "peace and safety" when in fact "sudden destruction" is what is around the corner.

    In Christ,

    Bob
