    The New Deal was a con game and did nothing to help people, just like the Fair Deal of Truman and the Great Society of Johnson. Germany came out of the depression and built the world's greatest army at that time while FDR was pursuing his socialist policies; same as Obama at present! Because of FDR's policies the depression in this country lasted until he started the draft and got us involved in WWII to help Uncle Joe {Stalin that is} out. WPA, we piddle around; just like the current bureaucracy!
