    Passing Through Tribulation

woke up in the night to see, that Obama is consistently hitting 50 percentile in the polls, perhaps that is why the activity on the McCain side on the Board today.
They have got to try and knock Obama down and poor Christlike KenH gets in the way of that, way to stand in the gap Ken, God loves an underdog.

Alot is on Sarah Thursday, they need a 50 yard field goal at the end of double overtime. the polls will just get worse if she does not energize her base.

notice that Florida is tossup and leaning Obama now! woo hoo

People posting on YouTube spamming the Obama video on kids singing making mistakes posting response videos with nazi songs and images , does not play well in Florida , bit mistake on the Aryan nation types that support McCain but more than anything are racist against Jews and Obama.

I still think Sarah Wins but she has to win even bigger now.

there will no cross talk in the debate which is too her advantage.

She actually called herself what I have known all along "Feminist" that will play well with some but not play well with others.

Oh yeah Polls, North Carolina is a tossup now and Liddy Dole is going down.

Women are flocking back to Obama , Sarah Palin has been savaged in the media(fairly so mho) come on Katie Couric! nerf ball to softball style journalism, Sarah over talks in her interview.

    back to bed

Calling Palin a "despicable human being" is Christlike? Calling McCain a "warmonger" is Christlike? Showing more passion and concern for the lives of wolves over unborn babies is Christlike?

Please do some checking before you claim bias. As brilliant as we are, we cannot be omniscient. Whenever a poll on the election appears it is merged here when we discover it. Ken has never protested that I know of and two hours is far too short a time to expect a moderator to catch it.

There is a report post button, please feel free to use it.

If you look at Real Clear Politics, you will see that Obama is increasing or sustaining his lead in the important states like Pennsylvania, Colorado, Ohio and the like.

It is starting to look like this election might be a blowout for Obama! Even Palin, who everyone thought was an asset is turning out to be a liability. This choice for VP is just indicative of the blunders the McCain camp is making. I imagine after the country see Palin for what she is in the debate with Biden, Obama's lead will substantively increase.

Oh come on...I know you are the Holy Ruler and Holder of Eminent Knowledge on the board...but, yes...Ken is biased and he admitted he was. Every time a McCain supporter posts a new poll thread, Ken immediately jumps on it and protests.

Besides, I was only picking at Ken, and he knew that. I know where the 'report post' button is, thank you, and if I feel like I need to use it I will, but in this case it was only light-hearted picking at Ken. If I was serious, I would report it to the Almighty MaHahRoger.

Looks like NC turned on you NCT. Obama has a slight lead now.

It will never hold, I don't care what the polls say. NC is a big state and there are a lot of socialists back east but this is still red country. I would be shocked if Dole looses as well. Even the Obama supporters I know love her.

    Electoral-Vote.com has NC as a tie 48% to 48%.

Yes the current crisis has seemed to hurt the Republicans. According to Electoral-vote.com Colorado has flipped back to red, the first good news for the republicans in some time. We will have to wait and see. Another debate this week. I really think to win McCain is going to have to come out fighting. There is no real reason why this current financial crisis should be blamed on the Republicans. McCain needs to name names and call the Democrats who were on the Fannie/Freddie payroll. He needs to force the issue of the Democrats blocking reform litigation. Anyone who can study this issue knows it is more the fault of the Democrats. If McCain takes the easy rode and refuses to defend his party he is going down in flames.

They (Electoral-vote.com) currently have it for Obama, 329 - 194. But it could still flip either way. They are calling Florida and Virginia for Obama with NC as a tie. Flip those three back to Red and it is 289 - 249. It still looks like Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania are the key. Either side needs 2 out of 3 to win.

You may be right in your suggested strategy. I think it is a better one than the one I expect McCain to follow and this to character assassination. The current character assassination drives me further away from McCain. I want to know specifics of what he would do about our real problems.

Howard Wolfson writes about McCain's dire chances in RCP:

    http://blogs.tnr.com/tnr/blogs/the_flack/archive/2008/10/05/it-s-over.aspx

I just can't find a hole in his logic. McCain's in a mess:
    1. His perceived weakness--economic policy--won't stay off the front page.
    2. His party's president has record-low approval ratings.
    3. Because of the electoral map, he pretty much has to "run the table" as it is...he almost has to carry all of the Bush '04 states.

I just don't see that happening. Before it's over, I think Obama might walk away in the most lopsided win since 1988. I'm gonna vote...but I don't think it will be close.

For cryin' out loud...they had to send Palin to Nebraska to shore up support...it doesn't get much redder than Nebraska. RCP has Georgia's lead for McCain shrinking by the day.

I know there's some time left...but it might take something truly unusual to keep McCain in this thing.

    Rbell,

It may not end up being very close in the electoral college depending on how a few big states swing, but the overall popular vote remains close. I doubt the eventual winner will get more than 51 or 52% of the popular vote. Hardly a mandate for a savior.

The VP debate post poll, looks like same trend

I sincerely thought there would be a percentage point or two bumping McCain up because of Sarah Palins following but it looks as if the trend is still towards peaking for Obama , if anyone can show a different poll they think was a result of the VP debate , please have at it.

Pollster: Don’t believe the Dem hype

The presidential race is still too close to call and could come down to the very last weekend before voters decide if they like or distrust Barack Obama, a national pollster predicts.

“I don’t think Obama has closed the deal yet,” pollster John Zogby told the Herald yesterday.

Zogby’s latest poll, released yesterday in conjunction with C-Span and Reuters, shows Obama and John McCain in a statistical dead heat, with the Illinois Democrat up 48-45 percent.
    Adblock

Zogby said the race mirrors the 1980 election, when voters didn’t embrace Ronald Reagan over then-President Jimmy Carter until just days before the election.

“The Sunday before the election the dam burst,” Zogby said of the 1980 tilt. “That’s when voters determined they were comfortable with Reagan.”
