I'm afraid it may be too late for McCain to mount a comeback, unfortunately. I know it is a small sampling, but at the machine shop where I work, almost everyone who is going to vote is voting for Obama. It doesn't matter what things are pointed out concerning Obama's beliefs and future policies, the people are just tired of the republicans and want a change.

BTW, in case some here don't already know, although I once was an Obama supporter myself, I will not vote for him in November.

Thats funny. I was thinking the same this morning. Both seem to believe their points of view and we would have a real choice.

Yes, I believe that is part of the point that Bro. Curtis is making.

Democrats make up 57% of the sample but Obama is pulling only 44% of support.

Closer Than You Think? Presidential Polling Data Leave Room for Interpretation

...........On top of that in the Gallup poll, "traditional voters" -- those who are more likely to head to the polls -- give Obama 49 percent and McCain 47 percent, well within the 2-point margin of error.

And the AP-Yahoo poll out Friday shows that if the election were held today, 44 percent of adults surveyed would choose Obama while 42 percent would pick McCain, though that poll's methodology differs from most other polls.

The data showing McCain within two points of Obama shows up on page six of the 29-page poll report. Asked whether The Associated Press buried that result by reporting on the favorability ratings over the head-to-head match-up, Jack Stokes, manager of media relations at The AP, said no.........

I'm for that, Dispite the media, McCain appears to be the one dragging down the ticket in my view since Palin continues to have energetic support. I would also like to see Hillary as VP instead of Biden.

I would say 6 has to do with the community or area where they live.
Look at Idaho or OK for instance, those are just republican states. Always have been and don't see it changing anytime soon.

In that light I would choose 1, 2 and 6 for older voters but I believe the youger generations is breaking those trends.

According to the poll, 68 percent of active-duty and retired servicemen and women support McCain, while 23 percent support Barack Obama. The numbers are nearly identical among officers and enlisted troops.

AP presidential poll: All even in the homestretch

    Oct 22 01:23 PM US/Eastern
    By LIZ SIDOTI

WASHINGTON (AP) - The presidential race tightened after the final debate, with John McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll that shows McCain and Barack Obama essentially running even among likely voters in the election homestretch.

The poll, which found Obama at 44 percent and McCain at 43 percent, supports what some Republicans and Democrats privately have said in recent days: that the race narrowed after the third debate as GOP-leaning voters drifted home to their party and McCain's "Joe the plumber" analogy struck a chord.

Three weeks ago, an AP-GfK survey found that Obama had surged to a seven-point lead over McCai...

    In Prayerful Agreement With You

You knew that these folks would want McCain, because he;s the man most likely to understand what a war is all about. Pray that God flood the polls with His Angelic hosts on Noverber 4.

    I just heard...

A poll in OH is showing McCain ahead by 2 points. McCain 49% BHO 47%. This poll agrees with GOP internal data for OH. Likewise, a poll in FL is now showing McCain up by 1 point. McCain 48% BHO 47% in a race too close to call. I told you all in another thread not to be disheartened by the liberal/leftist national news media polls showing BHO up by 10-14 points. The race is simply too close to call. Keep up the fight and send the liberal/leftists packing!

Yep, we still have two weeks and it's a wide open race. Sure hope they can get a muzzle in Biden's mouth because I think he's cost Obama votes with his stupid comments.
