How much are they today? I cannot remember how much I paid but they were quite costly.

Here are the stats for the famed Codex Vaticanus:

Greek words in the Gospels: 63,995

    compared with:
Consensus: 66,134 (3.2% longer, or 2139 more words)
Sinaiticus: 63,409 (0.9% shorter, or 586 fewer words)
NA (ed. 27): 64,355 (0.6% longer, or 360 more words)

What is still interesting to me is the obvious tendency of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus to omit words, even by the standard of the new Textus Receptus (the Nestle-Aland/United Bible Societies Greek NT). According to the Nestle-Aland/UBS standard, Vaticanus omits 360 genuine words and Sinaiticus omits 946 genuine words in the Gospels.
