    So when we think of ancient music, for which we have no recordings, why do we think it would sound any different, depending on the musician and not on the instrument, than what we've just heard. They've had strings and pipes since the sixth generation from Cain.

    One of the oldest musical instruments found (by Darwinistic standards) was tuned to the Do-Re-Mi scale.

    Yes....AC/DC's Thunderstruck was a cover of a traditional song dating back to the Hasmonean dynasty.

    Yeah, I'm talking about the primitive nature of their instruments. People seem surprised when they hear metal and other styles being performed on them, primarily because of their notions of ancient man.

    A dithyramb was a style played at Bacchanalian festivals, led by someone "stricken by the thunderbolt of wine."

    The only reason to assume a fundamental difference in the mastery of the art then and now is Darwinism.
