    Good evening -

I'm sure that we all agree that Paul is quite accurate in this verse, that all Scripture is God-breathed and suitable for instruction. However, at the time of this writing, the Books had not been assembled into the collection we have today as the Bible.

Can any of you shed any light on which NEW Testament Books may have been on Paul's mind at the time of this writing and which were yet to be?

Thank you all in advance for your thoughts.

Well, in 1Tim. 5:18 Paul calls a gospel "Scripture". So the synoptics could be such. Paul also commanded that his letters be read in the churches (1Thess. 5:27, Col 4:16), and so it's possible that he regarded the letters he had written to that point as such. Certainly this is possible given that Peter calls Paul's writings Scripture (2Peter 3:16).

Well said. And let's not forget the OT.
