    I had been discharged out of the Navy in May of 1983, but I did spend a lot of 1981, & 82 in the Persian Gulf, (3 tours), and the Indian Ocean. We received the Navy Expeditionary Medal for our actions during the Gulf of Sidra incident. Things were getting pretty tense, way back then. When I saw this I wondered how many of those Marines I may have talked to, in one of the very few ports we had over there. My brother Tim has been over there, numerous times, in his 30 year career in the Navy.

    Horrible day.
