It's a political stunt manufactured by the Bush administration to inculcate fear into people to help influence the election.

 

This is a good example of the levels of government doing something right and crushing a real threat to this nation. This is what we are suppose to be doing. My hat is off to whoever put this bust together and stopped a lot of Americans from dying. Professionalism at its best, bravo. It will never happen, but those who are illegal aliens need to be transported to Gitmo for military tribunals. The one who was a citizen should be prosecuted to the FULL extent of the law.

Saturn, I could be wrong here, and correct me if I am PL, but I think PL was referring to the fact that the media was not informed about this last year. If that was the case I am in total agreement with PL. That is not to say that this is not a good example of the government working to supress a real threat, because it is. They did everything the way it should be done and my hats off to them.

 

I am not sure. The media was not mentioned in the quote. They certainly do not have the need to know at that point. The media knowing could have been a death sentence for these or others.

I have no idea about the media stuff. I didn't read the story. I was having fun with those who think that terrorism is a made up government thing used to inculcate fear in people and keep them submissive to the government.
