Following David's brave posting of his original song, I thought I'd follow suit. Here is the first song I wrote for corporate worship, almost 10 years ago, and I've used it in 3 churches in which I've ministered. It's very short, only 4 complete musical phrases, but it was only designed to be a short "chorus" anyway. What do you think?

Create in me a clean heart and set me as holy and pure.
Give me the desire to relinquish my will, and wholly surrender to Yours.
Break me, then make me a vessel for You, so that in my life others may see
The glory of Jesus Christ, the Son, is the glory that shines in me.

Reminds me of "Whiter Than Snow," and it's meatier than most choruses I know.

The words are great, Joshua. I like all hymns and choruses that direct us to Jesus. Praise Him for using you to bless us.

Joshua, I just went outside, found a stray cat and sung the song to it.....The cat looked at me like I was an idiot then shook it's head and walked off..... ;)

Great job mate  :applause: Any chance of finding somewhere to upload it? :)

I'm working on that. The recording I have is a bad quality, but I'm attempting to find a way to do that, maybe through our church's website. I'll let you all know. Thanks for the encouragement!

I tried it, but my file is too big. Never done this! I'll keep trying.

Using esnips.com I've got some of my files uploading now... but the problem is "A Clean Heart" is the last minute of a 6-minute track, and I have no way to separate them. I'll keep trying. LOL!

Three songs there, and A Clean Heart is one of them. I apologize for the bad quality of the recordings...

It says nothing is there. How does one access it? Can't very well give opinion if one can't hear it.
    The poem is nice though.:wavey:

I got to hear the three songs before they were removed. I liked them, all three. I hope you are able to get them posted somewhere so others can hear them.

BTW, the quality of the recordings wasn't exactly "bad".

Thanks for the encouragement. It's always nice to hear that something you wrote doesn't turn people away in disgust. :)

Maybe I should have said "not professional."
