Hardsheller,

You made some very direct observations about me and I am still waiting for you to show me where I said those things you allege. Now, I would be happy to answer your questions (as a matter of fact, I DID answer the first one!); however, you owe me the courtesy of answering those questions that I posed to you first.

Come on, hardsheller: you made the claim - now kindly support them with quotes I made. If I indeed made them, then it really shouldn't be this hard, should it?

My apologies, LadyEagle, but hardsheller made some statements about my opinion that I do not recall ever making. I feel that I am entitled to an answer. If they cannot be substantiated, then a simple apology is in order.

    Regards to both of you,
    BiR

I remember when I was a huge dittohead, and used to believe that about Rush. Then suddenly, I woke up.......

    Still waiting, hardsheller.....

Hope you are having a great week,

I'm not going to comment on Limbaugh, but the caller was right on.

    REALLY? </font>
I think she just jumped ahead in time. By the time this young man joined up, completed boot camp and MOS school, that would have made him command ready by the late part of 2002. That is if he joined right after 9-11. We were being readied for a wider region and other theater by that time, so IMHO she isnt confused. Not that it matters anyway, it is HER son and she knows what she means.

His purpose is to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. What is yours?

She didnt beg, she simply stated that she felt that Sheehan and her vigil does not serve a useful purpose nor does it honor her fallen son.

By the way, hardsheller, I am still waiting for your reply. Come on, Pastor: you really should give me the examples for the assertions you made about my beliefs........

    BIR,

I thought Lady Eagle had already slapped our wrist on this one.

I'm a good boy, I always obey the women in my life.

So start a new thread and let's discuss the issues you say you've been misunderstood about.

A dittohead is someone who enjoys listening to Rush's radio show, regardless of how much he agrees or disagrees with Rush. It does not mean lockstep agreement with everything, or even most, of what Rush says. It goes way back to the beginning of the show in the late 1980s.

Ken, I disagree with Rush on practically every single topic, and I would never consider myself a dittohead. I listen to him every day.

Hope you are having a glorious weekend...away from work,
    BiR

P.S. Still waiting, hardsheller. Come on, Pastor, you really need to support your observations about me...........

Refusing to accept a definition doesn't make the definition wrong. [IMG]

A "dittohead" is someone who listens to Rush and then "dittoes" his opinions, often word for word.

That is incorrect, Daisy. But you folks on the left have had a hard time understanding the terms and nuances and entertainment on Rush's show from the beginning in 1988. [IMG] From Wikipedia:

"A dittohead is a person who likes but does not necessarily agree with The Rush Limbaugh Show. Regular listeners to the show claim that it is a mistake to think that "ditto" means that the caller agrees with Rush Limbaugh's opinions.

Saying "dittos" (or even "mega-dittos") was started by a Rush Limbaugh caller in 1988 as a shorthand way for callers to say they like the show and to save time."

I guess, though, that a person could be a listener to Rush's show and not agree and not like listening to it. But that sounds like a rather dismal way for such a person to spend fifteen hours a week of his life. Such a person would definitely not be a dittohead.

    Ok, you win, I lose.

I admit I don't listen to the show...it creeps me out. I did give Air America one quick go, but what I heard was just as bad.

Refusing to accept a definition doesn't make the definition wrong. [IMG] </font>
It does in my particular case. Although I am ashamed to admit that I once did subscribe to his viewpoints, I now see him for who he really is.

    Have a great Sunday,
