I read the responses to my first thread on this subject, and as Barnabas said, while it got off point, it had a good direction.

However, I would like to ask one more "hot question" that I believe was never broached. When I called this a nation of "Baby Killers" it had to do with the fact that as long as we pay taxes {sales, income, business, luxury, etc}, are we not "all" in some way [as a nation] responsible for the death of each fetus aborted?

Here is the million dollar question: Each of us have the responsibility to invoke our right to vote for those who lead our city, county, state, and country, but, how do we decide who to cast that vote for when the candidates have tremendous positive qualities, but, still support abortion, which is paid for by the taxes we are accessed?

This is a question that weighs heavy on my heart when I go to the polls, and I would like to know how the rest of you handle this dilemma.

Very simple. If they are not pro-life, they will not have my vote. Period. If that means that I have no one to vote for, so be it. I will never, ever, under any situation, vote for a pro-abortion candidate for any office, anywhere, anytime.

We are called to act as Christians first. The sanctity of human life is unquestionable.

Political considerations are far down the line.

    Act--and vote-- accordingly.

The Libertarian Party consistently supports keeping government out of our lives as much as possible, including no taxpayer money being used to pay for any abortions or condoms.

Yet you support a candidate (Obama) that advocates government funded abortion on demand.

You're not really a libertarian, are you?

A vote for a present day Democratic candidate for President is to condone abortion. One must ask however, are the Republicans any better? They flap their jaws at election time about pro life, but notice, between elections, nothing ever gets done.

A pox on both their houses. We need two new parties, period, end of subject.

Yes, I am. I support the Cato Institute financially. I support the Libertarian Party financially. I gave a contribution to Bob Barr's campaign this week in preparation for his activities at the LP convention starting in Denver on May 22.

And you support and claim you are voting for a pro abortion democrat.

    Your words ring hollow.

No way am I responsible for abortions. Misplaced guilt.

That's like saying I'm responsible for drunk driving because I pay gas tax and help maintain the roads.

Let's save our guilt for things we're truly guilty for. Is abortion a horrible, wretched, sinful scourge? You better believe it. But through my political action, through my time, through my giving, and through my personal interactions, I'm doing what I can to stop abortions.

I have no choice on taxes. I am not guilty of enabling abortions.

Words can be changed and redirected. Once money is given it can't be taken back or redirected.

Both candidates, Clinton and Obama, are not pro-life so it appears you have accomplished nothing by not voting for either. I respect your views though.

    You're wrong on both counts.

    So which should we believe?

If you were in my house right now, carpro, I would give you a quarter so that you could call someone who cares about what you believe about me - if such exists.

I don't know why Carpro is so infatuated with you, but you might need to get a restraining order if he ever finds out where you live.

Do you think, dragonfly, that I could file Baptist Board charges against carpro for poster stalking?
