If your theory is correct about the secret rapture prior to a time of tribulation, what happens to your pets, your dogs, your cats, etc. after you're gone? Do they suffer a slow, agonizing, painful starving to death? Do they eat each other?

I did hear a child ask that, at church, one day. And that's what I expect from a child.

I'm more concerned about my unsaved friends, family...

But I already know what happens to them.

At the risk of being guffawed off the Board...

Acts.16[31] And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

    .....means my two cats! [IMG]

If God cares about a sparrow that falls, He cares about our pets.

I truly believe this with all my heart. Believe what you want to. :D [IMG] :D ;)

    EagleLives911,

So your pets are going to be raptured with you before tribulation begins? Do you have a verse to support that specifically?

See the other thread. Or continue to guffaw. Your choice. [IMG]

My question is about the idea of animals being raptured. Trying to make a case for people being raptured before this age ends is not the same as making a case for animals. The verses that pretribbers use don't mention animals.

So, why did you bring it up by saying "So your pets are going to be raptured with you before tribulation begins? "

They are two separate issues. I answered your original question and then you switched gears to the other issue. Why the game of "cat and mouse?" (excuse the pun) :D

I already gave you the scripture in Acts. Now I will refer you back to the Passover....the first born of all who placed the blood (including their animals) was saved from death.

I think you are being a little sarcastic to have come up with this thread.

According to what I read about the Great Tribulation the animals probably would be better off dying because these plagues and judgements won't spare animals, plant life, humans.

Amen, hrhema. I detect a lot of sarcasm in these threads lately, but maybe I'm over-reacting!

No sarcasm intended. I have dogs, birds, and fish and to me this is a very serious question. It is obvious to me that pretrib, premillers have not thought through to the practical implications of their position. I urge them to do so.

What if a believer has an aged mother he is taking care of and all of a sudden he is gone but this age is still ongoing? Is his aged mother simply to die due to neglect? Pretrib premillers seriously need to think through what they are teaching.

Frankly, if the pretrib premillers are right(I am as certain as I can be pre-the-end-of-the-world that they are not), I want to stay and take care of my pets for those supposed 7 years. I'll catch up with the rest of ya'll after the 7 years. [IMG]

Ken, show a little more knowledge of the Bible than what you post will you???

The animals will go through the same kind of experience as those who were killed in the flood. Are you telling me they didn't suffer? Perhaps you didn't think of that?

Eagle, please...

Don't mean to be crude but if the person you were taking care of is not saved then no it won't be your problem. That may seem cruel but they have just as much of a chance for salvation as anyone else. If they reject Christ they will pay for the consequences.

It all depends. Are they saved?

    Ransom,

Most of my dogs are Shelties, and the one I have tried to get into a baby wading pool won't do so voluntarily, so...I guess he's not Baptist. [IMG]

At this point I would recommend a commentary on the book of Revelation entitled More Than Conquerors by William Hendriksen. It makes the most sense Biblically of anything I have seen on the book of Revelation so far.

One awaiting the appearing and revelation of Christ Jesus on the final day,
