Bob Barr lead the impeachment proceeding against Clinton, while he was on wife #3 at the time, and there is credible proof trhat he cheated on both his first two wives. I hope the libertarians find a better candidate to nominate than this guy.

You do bring up a potentially good point (3rd wife), but I still go by my 5-10-15 rule. If something happened within the past 5 years it is something to consider. 5-10 years I would probably give the benefit of the doubt. Over 15 years, is basically ancient history - short of a major crime such as murder.

Now as far as Barr, how long has he been married to his current wife? What was the situation when Barr was on the impeachment committee?

This is the exact problem I have with Newt - he was opposed to Clinton's' sexual indiscretion (with good reason) but Newt was cheating on his wife as well.

So Back to Barr, I would like all the details - and as Fox says, "We Report - You Decide"

Clinton was impeached for perjury, not sex. Adultery isn't illegal, otherwise John McCain would be in jail.

    And..

As to Barr, the worst criticism that can be made against him is this:

I just think they could come up with a better candidate. I have no doubt about his abilities, but integrity, honesty, consistency, these are becoming important to me.

Maybe they could ask Alan Keyes to run as a Libertarian ? I can't find any real dirt on him.

In all honesty it probably doesn't matter who gets our nod as we're looking at 1.5% of the vote... if that.

I'd rather be on the road less traveled. Some people talk about taking it. I've lived on it.

Way less than that - probably about 300,000 votes nationwide which will probably be less than 0.3% of the total vote.
