If the visit to the tomb was on the morning of the 1st day of the week.... then that would explain the empty tomb discovery. It is not likely to have occurred on the 7th day(Saturday) as it was hallowed and kept by Jewish law observed to sundown. It is apparent he arose ahead of the discovery of the empty tomb....but how much ahead is the question. He was met in the garden and recognized but had not yet ascended to the Father, so it would seem that his resurrection preceeded the discovery of the empty tomb by mere moments..... but was it? How were the days counted customary to their time..... and did this in anyway differ from the way God counts days..... is another question?

IOWs, were partial days counted as though they were whole 24 hrs? or were they only counted after 24hrs were completed? (In much the way we count years.... a baby isn't 1 year old until he revisits the first day of the start of his 2nd year...... yet, till the time of his first birthday.... his age is counted in days, weeks, and months, and he is said to be living in his first year of life.

Yup, and that's part of my point.

In all honesty what is important is the fact that He did die, did go to the grave, and was raised on the third day!
