I am not happy with the choices for president. There is not much difference between that I can see.

Senator McCain may hold a slight edge in some moral issues, but how powerful are a president's moral values at the end of the day?

Senator Obama is the man that poses the greatest threat. I don't care about his middle name or the fact that his mommy sent him to a Muslim school when he was five. It just doesn't seem that he has a clue on the reall issues. His foreign policy (or lack of it) in particular, bothers me.

So, in order to make sure he is not elected, how about the ultimate dream ticket? How about McCain/Clinton?

Obama would not stand a chance. I don't know if he could carry a single state with that combination. My thought here is not original, I have seen in mentioned, but why not? There is nothing to prohibit it but tradition.

Would I vote for them? I don't think so. Maybe only to keep Obama out of the White House, but they would be, IMHO, unbeatable.

After all the Republicrats have not given us a real choice in decades. Let's just forget the pretense and move on.

As George Wallace said in the 1968 election, "there is not a dime's worth of difference between Republicans and Democrats." The fight between them is a facade to maintain their 100% control of the power in this country. A pox on both parties. It is time to dismantle the parties, and start over with two parties whose main purpose is to serve the American people, not to eat at the public pig trough as they do now.

My biggest rpoblem with that is twofold:

    1. McCain's health is not good. There is a real possibility that he wont live out his term. We need a VP that could take over and serve us weel as POTUS.

    2. This ticket would almost insure that Hillary would be elected after McCain leaves office, and Republicans (including me) cringe at the thought of her as president.

These are my sentiments as well. There needs to be a major over turn of power in the Federal Government. At the State and Local level all that have seats, need to reject all that is Republican or Democrat.

Thats like saying "We would all be better off if every person in this country gave their lives to the Lord".....it aint gonna happen.

The Green Party, the Libertarian Party and several others have tried your theory for years to no avail. The 2 party systen is not going to go away and it amazes me that folks waste time dreaming of a perfect system when it is impossible to acheive.

Our time would be better spent actually learning the platforms of the 2 partys that we have, actually contacting our elected officials and letting them know our needs, and praying for our leaders. I suspect that many on this board hate Bush and only pray for his demise from office, but that is not how the Bible instructs us to pray for our leaders. And although I am republican, I am NOT a Bush fan. Contrary to popular belief, Bush does not represent the whole of the Republican party. But I still pray for him as the Bible instructs.

And by the way, there is a HUGE difference in the partys. I suggest you go to the RNC website and read the party platform, and then go to the DNC website and read theirs. They are nowhere close to the same.

I'm not happy with any of the 3 left standing. The Democrats are the pro-abortion party. The Republicans are the pro-rich party. I suppose I'll hold my nose and vote for McCain.

Talk about sad? Sad is the fact that you all have bought into this idea of a "TWO PARTY SYSTEM"!
When will you all allow the scales to fall off of your eyes? When will you all allow God to open your minds to what is really going on here? YOUR COUNTRY IS SYSTEMATICALLY BEING STOLEN FROM YOU! Incrementally using a long known technique called the HEGELIAN DIALECTIC.
Our so-called two party system DOESN"T EXSIST! Its one group of people with the same desire to control you, your children and your childrens children.
To lead this once great nation as well as the rest of the world into a GLOBAL union controlled by the anti-christ.
To continue to hold out any hope that electing any of the three remaining candidates offers any hope for this nation(unless by way of answered prayers ) they come to a real faith in JESUS CHRIST and ask him to come into their hearts
    and save them is useless.

They will all say anything, and do anything to get elected. Ask youself why they would spend 100 million dollars to become president? if not for the power, and control? They none have americas best interest at heart. They are all members of the CFR, as well as elitists.
They are all on the NAU bandwagon, the southern border is yet to be closed, the money for our new "union" is already being printed, and being prepared to be distributed. Please wake up.

    Amen, Brother Saturneptune!

I opposed to all entitlement programs (USFed, State, Local) save the ones to which I'm entitled. I turn 65 in Sept so will be entitled to that SS Medical help program. But to me it looks like Bush dismantled it. I guess I'll have to pay more for my Meds than I do now. My yearly meds still won't pass my yearly energy bill.

So was Ted Kennedy until this week.

At McCain's age, tomorrow is a gamble. Just being real. I am not saying that his age is a reason to not vote for him or elect him.....just that at his age the choice for VP is even more important than it was for Bush.

That is true, but as we get older the chance for fatal illness increases greatly.

So we don't run for political office because something might happen to our health?

At just what age do you draw the line?
