I confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.

Since the OP of this thread was about Tozer's take. Wouldn't it be good to read what his take was?

I pray you stick around and learn to fear God.

    1. I have already addressed wrongful attitudes and name calling.

    2. But the name calling has nothing to do with whether or not a person is a false teacher. You know better than that.

By their "FRUITS" we shall "KNOW" them. Is that right or wrong?

Is name calling and wrongful attitudes "fruit?"

So how can they be okay teachers and we be false teachers?

    1. Use the Scriptures properly. That is all that I will ask of you.

    2. It's my prayer that God will change you heart. Only he alone can do that.

    3. I'm respectfully done with this thread.

It is not the will of the Father to preach a false gospel.

Maybe. As I said in my first response, I'm not a fan of Tozer. It doesn't matter much to me what he thought.

How about showing me how I've misused the Scripture instead of just making evidence-less accusations and then running away.

Is that not what the text says by their "fruits" you will "know" them? What does that mean to you?

    Concur.

Yet, you've posted 75+ times in a thread that was supposed to be about what he, Tozer, thought and preached.

Just go back and read this entire thread and you will find plenty of scripture that has been posted about justification, rewards, loss of rewards, the one and only gospel and plenty of other sound doctrines.

"Know" only means "know" when it means what you want it to mean.

That was explained elsewhere by someone.

Sort of like, "We should translate literally, unless we don't want to."

It would seem that you are not really interested in this topic enough to research the matter. I suspect you are afraid that you may have a God of judgment that is going to hold you accountable for the things done in your body whether they be good or bad. This doesn't mean He isn't a God of love for according to His word, He is your father and a father that spares the rod hateth His son but He that loves his son chasteneth Him. Rather than seeking out the matter, it is easier to wish it not be true for your flesh would prefer a Father that will let you do anything you want and not be held to account for it.

And here is the crux of the matter. In your little world, to defend grace as we have really means we simply want to be licentious without being held accountable. You will probably stay that way until you truly learn what grace means. Nevertheless, I will continue to fight for the true gospel against legalists and those who would add works to it.

The great defenders of grace who say if you don't have works, you don't have grace. I love it.

Very funny (not). You would know the difference if you stopped fretting about some Christian being licentious for a minute and read your BIble. In terms of the gospel, grace and works are diametrically opposed. Works are the RESULT of faith, not a requirement for anything, otherwise grace is no longer grace. You ME folks make works a requirement as part of a second, false gospel.

And what do you tell a licentious Christian that needs to get saved in your view? Believe harder?

Well according to Scripture works SHOULD be the result of faith. Big difference in what Scripture says and what you say on this matter of works.
