As long as I have been on this board I have seen abbreviation for scriptures representations and denominations, to those who operate within the religious arena... We know what RCC is, and we know what TULIP represents but if I was to say to those that don't know me, I am PB... Would they know what that was?... They would say oh, well we know he is Baptist, but what flavor... He's a Particular Baptist or maybe he is a Progressive Baptist and both of them would be wrong... I'm a Primitive Baptist and there is big difference... I give that illustration to say this... When you start an OP or post an abbreviation within one, could you post and explanation on the abbreviation you post... Some brother within an OP posted PST, well I guess I'm not in the loop, what is that?... Another soon after within an OP posted BPS, what is that?... I for one am not going to try to understand the meaning as the post goes on as it is a mystery to me and I lost interest at the start... LOL... Well we all know what that abbreviation represents and can assure you this is no laughing matter, never assume the abbreviations you use everyone knows an don't assume it shows what a great scholar you are!... And what are a few more key strokes anyway?... Just a heads up... Explain yourself plainly... Its a needed brotherly courtesy!... Then we can all join in the conversation and not feel left out... Brother Glen:)

Btw... In the future, you post an abbreviation I don't understand, I feel it is my Christian duty to call you on it!

I like to use military acronyms! It drives civilians nuts!
So for the time being I will take my POV and go to my HOR.
and look over my fruit salad on my AG 344.
Also need to make sure that I clean my TA-50.
Then I need to order a couple of things from AAFES

But I suppose that Tyndal has a point
(hmmm, I wonder if he knows what GARBC means.

I’ve only had a cell phone for a few years. My kids would show all their friends my texts to laugh at me because I would write in complete sentences, using punctuation and such.

I’m just getting use to some abbreviations, but I admit about half fly right over at high altitude.

    peace to you

I don't know Salty but I suppose the first group is military... The second I believe I've seen you mention it, the BC I seem to recall, just might mean Baptist Church?... Am I close?... What is GARBC?... Brother Glen:)

I knew a woman whose daughter help her set up a Facebook account.

Mom wanted to share photos of their upcoming vacation to Paris.

Previously, Mom caught her daughter sending a text message to a friend with the acronym "WTF."

Mom honestly had no idea what that meant.

The quick thinking daughter said it meant ... "With The Family."

After Mom posted the photos on Facebook, she told her daughter that she couldn't believe the number of "Likes" on her post!

The daughter asked to see what her Mom had posted on Facebook, that prompted so many "likes."

Well, beneath the photographs of the family vacation, Mom wrote the following:

"On vacation in France, WTF." :D

I don't know what any of these abbreviations mean--I have to look them up. I still listen on the radio to Lester Roflol.

    I think you misused this.

n00b is always an insult, while newb implies that one will improve.

Regardless the use of either to describe someone indicates that they are a teenybopper.
